We all know that delving into some of the oldest Bethesda-supplied images of Daggerfall show the loss of many desirable bits of content, such as a far more detailed landscape, a logbook, even things such as shipwrecks.

I've wondered for a while...what are these? Cinematics cut from the final game?

the army pic was supposed to show battles between provinces cuz of political bickering, but those got cut from the game, but the catapults you see here and there are remains from that code.

cameron i dont remember, i know ive seen the pic.... maybe King Lysandus?

ARMY.GIF (640x400 149KB) and
CAMERON.GIF (640x400 121KB) are both shots from the opening animation we showed at CES: the former is of the army of Daggerfall meeting the army of Sentinel at the Battle of Cryngaine Field,and the latter is of Cameron, the late king of Sentinel, preparing for battle at his castle in Hammerfell.

Guess so, and it's Cameron apparently, as judging by the filename as well.

I wish there was a cinematic of Lysandus' death, that'd be awesome - the way it is described in the Wayrest painting, but fully-animated.

Oh, I bet there is a literal treasure trove of content sitting in Bethesda HQ, they should release it to us.

You might be interested by this YouTube video where Interactive Entertainment interviews Ted Peterson, the Lead Game Designer. The interview has a lot of cool new screenshots I never saw in other previews.

I've seen that, it's neat. I love it when old information about games resurface on the internet, like those recent Fallout GURPS videos.

I just wish we could get some information out of Bethesda. As far as I know, the entire Daggerfall team is gone.

I think it's the same model the Guard sprites were derived from. Look at the arms. I can imagine the guys going toe-to-toe with one another, shouting "HALT HALT HALT".

No I was referring to the screenshots and stuff, of Daggerfall. This comment IS about daggerfall right?

Where's the Ted Peterson interview at ? Something about Daggerfall screenshots,or video, that didnt make it into the game?
