I had to let mine die because it doesn't fit my stealth playstyle.

They should have allowed horses to be pack mules. That would have made horses very useful.

Tried out the horses in Oblivion, and besides using them for real role-playing, they don't seem to be of any real use. Having to dismount all the time, or worry where they run off to is annoying, and with fast-travel there is no need. Even just walking/running from palce to place feels better than on horseback. Idk, it just seems like a hassel more than an experience you can't miss.

I bought one horse and then died before saving. Didn't rebuy the horse because they svck. Horrible camera angle, no mounted combat, no way to interact with the enviroment whilst on said horse.

Why the [censored] haven't they implemented mounted combat yet? If that's too hard fine, at-least give me a first-person view so I can take in the scenery.

Honestly, i think it's actually worse than it was in Oblivion.

My horses always freakin charge into battle if I get off and get killed.....

Ever since then,I never bought another horse.

Wish you could tell them to stay put or tie the saddle to a tree so they cant move.

I bought one, and usually rode them in Oblivion, and Daggerfall. It wasn't for long in Skyrim, though. I was getting tired of dismounting every 10 seconds to fight something. So I parked him at some cabin I found in the woods. Seemed like a nice place with goats, chickens, and a friendly looking woman farming her crops. Be free, horse, be free!

The Bosmer im RPing is deathly afeard of horses, and tends to kill them on sight and dance on there dead bodys. He then leaves a set of iron armor on the body to prevent the "demons" from returning from the beyond...

In other words, i walk.

I just struggle to understand why they even bothered....maybe just because they thought they'd set a precedent with Oblivion? That they had to have horsies?

Dunno. But they're so half-arsed, oh wait, half-ASSed

No. Run, Run and Running. What I read about horses is true that you cannot go to first person when you riding then I am not using it.

I don't want to see a rare end of a horse whilst riding it. I not ploughing behind a horse I want to be on the horse riding it like in Oblivion.

I was never without a horse in Oblivion. They were faster than walking, which was a great help since I never fast travel. They were helpful in a fight. I kept my 3rd horse for literally years. In Skyrim, I do not believe they add any speed. I don't like the forced 3rd person view. And mine died in the first 5 minutes due to a misjudgment of how steep a hill was.

I'll wait for a future patch if there is one.

If I rode a horse, how would I be able to pick ingredients and slaughter bunnies?

I miss too much detail when I'm riding, so I walk. More like jogging I guess.

Am I the only one who believes in horses? I love my horse!

Despite what you might think, they are faster than running.
