Old school RPGs can take a little getting used to, but are worth the effort.


Definitely give it a shot...it's a great game.

Cool. I got jaded after reading one too many seriously dull ones.

I wouldn't give you a hard time if the manual for F1 and F2 wasn't so nifty.
You only really need to flick through it to get an idea of what's going on.

I will admit I never properly read my Civ II manual, nor my Simcity 2000 manual..

am i the only one who was totally lost on how to play fallout 1

rofl im too use to FPS's :P

I played mostly FPS games before I discovered Fallout 1 and Baldur's Gate (and I played BG1 before Fallout :lol:)
(In fact... the lead programmer for Fallout 1 had worked on an FPS/RPG title before Fallout). Its not too different from Dawn of War or the Diablo series.,

Fallout had an excellent (or I should say exemplary) spiral bound game manual. Now we only get the PDF :(
