yeah this has to be my deciding factor too.
I agree that this alone isn't enough but on top of all the difficulties and including xbox community [if you can call it that] its hard to bash on him for not wanting to play this game.
Let's step away from it all for a minute what if i came to you and said
"Hey man, i found this real cool game you should try it."
"What is it?" you ask
"its this cool shooter with a really neato movment system and its all based on teamwork and stuff, So you really gotta work with your teammates."
"awesome" you say "i should get my friends to play"
"NOPE" i say "None of your freinds will play and you'll be at the mercy of the horror that is the xbox live community to find teammates"
Can you really blame him for not wanting to play?
Sorry,but I can't really speak for the 360 crowd,being that I have it on PS3,so I'm speaking from that console's perspective.
I knew that pretty much everyone in my gaming community(about 35 or so members) wasn't going to buy it,but the concept, game mechanics, and the fact that it wasn't another military shooter was enough for me to get it,and I didn't give a damn who else was getting it or not.I had tech issues a couple of weeks ago,but the patch on PS3 seems to have fixed some of them,so friends or not,I'm still playing.
I was playing the Crysis 2 MP,and liked it at first, but now I don't even bother playing it.Not because none of my friends have it,but because the gameplay just doesn't appeal to me anymore. So even though I made new friends to play that game with,it was other things that keep me away from it.
I guess after some thought,if you are having a lot of issues with the game I can see where you might not want to play it alone. But this game is more fun when playing with other people, and that's why I say if your friends don't have it,make new ones, like I did.Had he did that, then
maybe he might have found it a little more enjoyable and held on to it a bit longer.
