Is it possible to make multiplayer have dedicated servers?

I figure everything is pretty much set in stone. Crytek please let me know. It would be nice to know if this is even a possibility. I don't want to hope for something that isn't possible. There will probably always be some lag with p2p hosting. I noticed in MW2 the host always had the millisecond advantage in close gun fights. Black Ops connection is worse and you get killed running around a corner. I prefer the hosting like in BFBC2 and MOH. I am getting tired of p2p hosting and coming to the point I would pay to play on a dedicated server if I had to.

most likely the console users will not be getting dedicated servers.. so you can stop hoping, i know i have..

bfbc2 and MOH have dedi servers because most host connections wont be able to handle the load(high player count being one reason), that is why they have dedi servers there..

It is possible but it will probably not happen, not too many games have them right now, which is a shame.

I had over 300 h playtime on moh and played my fair share of BFBC2 and I can tell you there aren't alot of players there if you compare to COD (4, MW1,2, BO). I don't know how many play C2 but according to the leaderboard the number keeps rising. I don't think they didn't expect alot of people to buy the game so it's probably some other reason they have for not having DS. £££££££££££££££££....
I don't see the logic in not having DS if you compare to the loss you might get from people not wanting the game. They must want people to keep playing it after a couple of weeks so they can make more money from a DLC.

Dedicate servers for PC only as Crytek have stated before. I understand you are willing to pay for a dedicated servers, many of us would, but that will never happen for consoles. I suggest finding gamers in your region. Frustrating but thats p2p my friend :)

I think thejollyroger is refering to the higher player count in each match and not the amount of people playing the game 'in total'.

Moh and Bfbc2 = 12 vs 12
Mw1 = can't remember, ages since i played it
Mw2 = 6vs6 or 9 vs 9 (gw)
BO = not a clue

Personally, I've always been killed running around corners in every Call of Duty game. Having dedicated servers would be a drastic improvement from p2p.
