The Order

The Order

It was 4E 128, the Empire has prospered for many years with little conflict among the provinces. The Emperor, Haldon Stark is loved by the people and is praised by all of his councillors as if he were a God. Life was good in Tamriel.

But one day things changed. An unknown group appeared in southern Skyrim calling themselves The Order. Without any explanation The Order began to attack small settlements and villages and turned their inhabitants into their minions through brainwashing them with unknown magical methods. Those with strong will were able to ward off the brainwashing, but they soon become food for the crows.

Soon their numbers grew and they had an entire army of men and women who succumbed to their will as well as many fiendish gouls. Emperor Stark ordered that every city bar their gates and lock their doors as not to allow any of the Order to convert the citizens into their minions. But little did he know, The Order had already placed an agent into most of the major cities around Tamriel.

It is now 4E 131, few strongholds still stand for the Empire. Emperor Haldon Stark resides in White Gold Tower, refusing to leave. Most believe he has gone mad. The Order has retreated back into their captured strongholds and has not been heard of in over a year. All communication has ceased with the other provinces and none know whether any cities still stand or whether the Order now hold the rest of Tamriel. The people live in poverty and the food stocks are running low, causing tensions to rise in the Imperial City and for the crime rate to shoot up. The gates have not opened in over a year due to Emperor Stark's decree that the gates were to stay closed to ensure that no agent from the Order had a chance to get into the city.

Chancellor Kirianah has decided to send out a group of adventurers to scout the area and try and figure out what the Order is doing and why they have not attacked in so long.

You are an adventurer called on by the Elder Council. You may start anywhere in the Imperial City but make sure to go to White Gold Tower within a few posts and then we can start!

Remaining Strongholds

The Imperial City
Never been touched by the Order, the Imperial City has not changed much since the Oblivion Crisis

Anvil
Anvil suffered a terrible siege from the Order in the first year, but despite that they were able to fend off the Order but not without suffering terrible loses of both landmarks and inhabitants

Cheydinhall
Cheydinhall was taken by the Order late in the first year but was then reclaimed by the Legion two months later. Many of the buildings were destroyed in the siege. It now acts as a garrison for Legion troops.

He grew up always feeling angry and depressed, which led to many fights with others. He eventually became a mercenary for hire and made a name for himself around Cyrodiil.

When the Order invaded Cyrodiil, Asmodin helped the Legion rally everyone in to the Imperial City and then went on to help the Legion settle everyone inside and calm their nerves.

Adire wiped the sweat from his brow as he entered the Temple District of the Imperial City, yet again on his morning jog. He heaved the door open with a large grunt and it creaked open with a massive groan.
"Phew!" He exclaimed to a passing guard, thrusting his thumb over his shoulder at the dual gates. "I swear these doors get stiffer every day Johnson!" Adire knew most guards in the City, and Johnson, his best human friend smiled broadly and replied.
"See you later friend!" Adire came upto the huge White Gold Tower and rested his arm against it. Expecting to brush up against warm stone he was suprised to come into contact with a large parchment poster. He read it aloud, mostly to hisself but looked down at the midnight black Claw whislt reading it.
"'Heros wanted to search the surrounding areas of the great Imperial City. Lives depend on this. Meet at the White Gold Tower on the nearest Loredas....' Sounds...interesting." Adire laughed. Beaming to Claw and himself.

"Go on Claw, off home now, its time for Daddy to go to work."
With that his obedient husky turned and ran back, she knew every way to get home and this time took the shortest path. Adire took his leave of the poster and took off at a jog to the Market District to his shop, 'The Blacksmiths Hammer', simple...

Rashida was taking her usual walk through the Imperial City, leaving the Waterfront District to the Temple, and the Arboretum before passing by the White Gold Tower to the Market District.
As she was rounding the tower, she noticed a Nord scribbling on the wall, mumble, and a husky that bounded off just before he took his leave.
Curious at what he wrote, Rashida examined the spot he scribbled.
Examining the "Heros Wanted" poster, she found only one name so far enlisted to aide the city.
"They had best pay well," Rashida said, as if she were talking to the poster, signing her name and address, Shack 09, Waterfront District.
The Thieves Guild "payed" enough for her to get by, but Rashida always wanted to earn more coins to eventually buy a pet cat.

After signing the poster, she headed off to the Market District to buy some breakfast at the Merchants Inn... and to earn a couple coins.

Marrow sighed after a long day of hunting for mudcrabs along the waterfront. He rubbed his sore ankles, and raised his head to look around. A crab popped out from behind a rock. He reached back into his quiver, but to no avail. All his arrows were spent. His command over creatures he had not used today though, so he shot it off at the crab. He did not miss. Calling the tame beast over, he patted its head. But it was dead in an instant. He shelled and gutted the animal, and when he was done with his work he took the meat and jogged to the Impeirial City. Taking a left into the Market District, he walked to the Best Defence. He entered, and threw the meat on the table. "How many arrows will ya' trade for this?" He asked he lady at the counter.
"Hmmm... that looks like a fine chunk of meat. How about, say, twenty?"
"Twenty! This is at least worth thirty iron ones."
"Aye. Your right. Thirty arrows it is," and she swept a full quiver out onto the table."Oh, Marrow have ya' seen the signs up around the town? Looks like the Leigion is recruitin' for something."
"Recruiting ya say? No, the Leigons ain't my type. But I'll be sure to check it out, thank you."
Marrow left the store and rushed to White Gold Tower, strapping the quiver to his back. On his way he bumped into a friendly faced Regguard.
"G'day my lady," he said to her. She nodded and walked off in a rush.
He saw the flier pasted to the tower. He read that a group of Heroes was being formed to scout through the reigions around the Impeirial City. Two names were already on the list. He scribbled down his. This should be...interesting, he thought. He walked off towards the waterfront, eager to see his island home before night.

Asmodin sat quietly in the corner of the Feed Bag while others talked and jested with friends and family or stood in line waiting for their soup. At this rate we won`t have any soup left to give out. he thought. Ever since the Emperor closed the gates, most of the people could no longer make any money, so the Feed Bag turned into a soup kitchen for the impoverished to go.

Asmodin looked at the bowl in front of him, Disgusting, he thought. Suddenly loosing his apatite, Asmodin pushed himself to his feet and left the Feed Bag.

The afternoon sun was warm on Asmodin`s skin as he stepped out of the soup kitchen. He looked up up and see the sun, Just past noon. The meeting should start in an hour then. he thought as he pulled his hood over his head and walked off to the Waterfront.

Aralor sat in the pub, drowning himself with ale again. im bored. theres been nothing to since the tribunal died.
suddenly there was a commotion outside. might as well see what that is, its better than wasting all my money on ale. there was a small crowd huddling around a poster on the wall, pushing his way through, he noticed it said adventurers wanted. intrigued, he studied the poster carefully. well it seems they already have a few people signed up. Oh well why not. Aralor bent over and signed his name and the location of the inn he was staying in.

Amaridil sat in the centre of Merchants inn. On his plate was a messy lump of vension and some stale bread on the side. Ever since the Emporer closed the gates not enough fresh food was making it's way into the city. So basically everything was well....disgusting.
He lost his appetite after a single bite, so he left the inn.
He decided to make his way to The Palace to take up on the offer presented to him by The Chancellor himself! It was an offer to investigate Order activity outside of The Imperial City. Amaridil hated the order, as they had killed his little sister, Amara. He now seeks revenge, and this was his chance to get it.

At around half-past-noon Adire was sitanding behind the anvil in his shop, hammering a large silver great-sword, it had been required by a passing warrior who was staying in the Talos Plaza District for a few days. He looked hard down the blade of the sword.
Perfect... He plunked the sword into a barrel of cool, dirty water. Steam filled the room for a moment and then Adire pulled the sword out again and wiped it with a damp rag. As he was wrapping the blade in cloth, someone knocked at the door in the front of the store.
"There in a second!" He yelled as he set down the sword and jogged up the stairs to meet a Legion Armour clad guard standing infront of the counter.

"Hello and welcome to the Blacksmith's Hammer! We have a fin-" Adire began, but the guard simply held up his hand and replied.
"I am here on official business of the Imperial Emporer and High Chancellor. You signed up to investingation the surrrounding area of the Imperial CIty, did you not?" Adire just nodded, trying to contain a smile.
"The meeting is today," He continued "Get all you need, you will be leaving soon." With that, the guard left. Stunned, Adire ran up the stone stairs to grab his hand-made leather armour and hammer.

Amaridil took a single step into the palace and two guards told him to leave. He told them that he was here on official business, and needed to see the Chancellor, they led him to a large rounded room with a stone table in the middle with many thrones surrounding it. The High Council Chambers... Amaridil thought as he sat down. The Chancellor entered and said.
"We will wait for the others to arrive before we begin."
Amaridil nodded while thinking. Others?

IC: Hakar happened to be in the Waterfront, scouting it out quietly.

He came upon a little stocky elf.

"Hey you, yea you, no not you, you, no not you, yea you, over there!"

He grinned at the petty elf.

"You're a little elf?" How about I make you shorter for a change?

The Nord drew his large, Ebony sword, and within seconds, the Elf's mutilated head was sitting upon the ground, a frown on its face.

Hakar then made his way to the bloated float to grab some beer. He had been long thirsty.

"2 beers please."

"Sorry, the Dunmer bought the last one.

Hakar cussed under his breath, and within seconds, the Dunmer's head had an obsidian dagger through it.

"I love this."

OOC: Vum, your next.

IC:

Hakar made his way to green emporer way, He had no respect for the nine.

"Oh look, a Dunmer, I hate Dunmer. Hey, ash-wallower.."

Hakar drew his bow, and embedded arrows through the dunmer's eyes. He then moved to the Market District.

He came upon the back of a shop, where a legion soldier and a Nord were standing.

He came upon the soldier first, and stabbed him in the neck.

"Hello Nord, what would you like on that salad?"

Hakar drew his sword once more, and cut the Nord in half, across the waist.
