I tried.. only ways out are up

Go back. There, is a second passageway that leads up out of the water and to hallway with a door at the end. Open the door and you'll find your way out from there...

Ok, here is my little problem. Rush was no problem, must have gotten lucky. Terror with the burning room, I can't get out. Shot freezing bolts at the fire :P Hit the invisible wall that stops me from going anywhere. Run around, and around and around :ahhh:

So what do i do?

O dear, I have a pathological fear of dying - got Kuertees mod Alternatives to death, that's why I avoid dying; I get penalized you know. Well, I guess I'll die tomorrow after work then - now off to an other hobby, reading book. I got a gazillion hobbies, I really haven't got time to work :lol:

You wont literally die. but you have to allow it to burn you until the next stage kicks in.

All i have found is this odd stone that i cannot pick up and I can't seem to progress anywhere... I gotta admit I don't get what to do here.


Does anyone know what to do for this room? Cause I can't progress any further in this dungeon because of it..

Once you've clicked on the stone, go back to the chamber where you came in. There is now a second door that appeared when you clicked on the Odd Welkynd. That's your exit.

I've enjoyed this quite a bit... I most appreciate all the new (to me) sounds! I am now in lvl VIII and have so far enjoyed VII the most-

I'm starting to loose my love for the key hunting aspect of lvl VIII though... can't find the key to leave Vaermina's Halls of the corrupted and enter Molag Bal's something

I think the conflict isn't with BC IC - it's with Integration. BC IC doesn't do anything to the Tiber Septim, AFAICT, but Integration adds an NPC there. I have BC IC after Integration, so naturally assumed that when I moved Oubliette down after that, it was the conflicting mod. :)


Anyway, on to the bug reports. I had major FPS problems (as in, single-digit FPS) in the main area (the Oubliette), for some reason. My rig can run OBC + QTP3R + RAEVWD and still get 25-30 FPS in the cities, so I know it's not that. I had the same problem in a couple other places, too - Hircine's Arena, for one (

I thought clearing out all those gems and NPCs would help, but it was only a marginal gain)
). This led to it being a very frustrating experience overall.

I know it's already been mentioned, but some of the monsters (the liches and wraiths in Level 3/4) are horribly overpowered - they have something around 4000 health. The sword and staff you get down there are nearly cheat items, too.

The Mess Hall had some issues - lots of items partially buried in the floor, a dish floating a few feet above the floor, etc. Also, the Wilds was poorly designed - I could hop up on the rocks and just walk off the map, and my Acrobatics is only around 35. Also, the pool/pond doesn't have a bottom - it's just a big black space.

The Lost Chambers had at least two floating casks.

Thanks for your input I'll note your thoughts for future updates.

Not sure what can be done about the FPS issue, it's a conflict somewhere not the design of The Oubliette. My rig, at best gets about 10fps in exteriors on low setting with no mods so a pretty weak rig for this game and I didn't experience any lag in the Core, in fact designed it to be as easy on lag as it could be given it's size. I know that must be frustrating, just not sure it's something I can fix. :(

[EDIT] I will be tweaking what I can in the next and final update, but after version 1.2 there will probably not be any additional updating. Because of the nature of the mod, there's just only so much time I can commit to fixing the work others did on it. I wish I had more time, but I've got a major project in the works at the moment and can't divert much longer unfortunately. So after v1.2 any floaty things etc will just remain part of her charm. :shrug:

I just DL'ed the newest release of masterlist.txt and it seems Oubliette isn't there as yet!
BOSS then loads it automatically in last position.
Given my load order below, can anyone tell me where I have to put TheOubliette.esp?

I just DL'ed the newest release of masterlist.txt and it seems Oubliette isn't there as yet!

For your list just put it right before 'Cobl Filter...' It is in the latest of latest masterlists - the working copy over http://code.google.com/p/better-oblivion-sorting-software/... just after BC IC - though once I finish DLing (200mbs & bad dialup aargh) I'll put it in a proper spot - put it there due to reports of incompatibility with BCIC but sounds like it might be With Integration:TSL instead
