Werewolves in Skyrim(Assuming they are in) should look like the ones in "Van Helsing".

I would love to be chased by Kate Beckinsale

I would prefer it if you had the ability to change at will rather than just on full moons. Lore is not always correct in Tamriel so maybe an exception should be made here, otherwise most of the time you won't be able to take advantage of the fact you are a werewolf.

Werebears anyone?
And battle music would work fine if it started when you are hit or see the enemy.

I don't like it when were creatures can only change during the full moon... (is this how ES werewolves are?)

Normally, werewolves only change when either Masser or Secunda is full.

Sounds (like those you mentioned already) play a huge role in building an atmosphere (whether for a beast-haunted twilit forest, or a bustling city dock), and I hope that's not overlooked. Wolf howls in Skyrim's nights will be shiver-worthy, surrounded by all those mountains and forests...

A few misty graveyards, lonely bat-infested towers, and rose-covered tombs wouldn't hurt, either, from the vampire side of things. Given the hand-crafted nature of Skyrim's (many) dungeons and regions, I think it's safe to assume we'll get at least a few dark, romantic, and spooky places to visit... or run from.

One of the few times I felt a chill down my spine in Oblivion was when I first saw with a Zombie lurching towards me in the dark.

And of course the Town of Hackdirt. I stumbled on it by mistake and ended sh*tting my pants. That town was freaky! Unfortunately OB didn't have enough of this.

Plus Vampires weren't scary enough. Got a feeling Skyrim's going to fix the fear factor :)

Don't start with that crap. Please. :swear:

Yes, werewolves in lore turn when there is a full moon. But the werewolves in Bloodmoon turned every night, I am guessing because it's during the time of the hunt.

Werewolves in Skyrim(Assuming they are in) should look like the ones in "Van Helsing". Except with a tail. The ones in Daggerfall looked like the Van Helsing one. I also would like for them to have additional powers such as "Wolf eyes" and "Spirit of the Wolf" and "Werewolf resistance" like they did in Bloodmoon, but this time in human form too. I would also like for the character to have different facial effects, especially the golden eyes Lycanthropes have.

I would love to roleplay as a werewolf. Sleeping in wilderness camps and drinking water and cooking and eating raw meat. Waking up naked, perhaps have a cabin out in the mountain forest. Hell yes!

So you don't like the idea of weredolphins and werelion or even a turtle?

the sub culture of lycanthropes needs to be as mysterious as the Dark brotherhood quests in Oblivion....just less organized than even that..in an atmospheric sense....it needs to be loosely formed networks of people with lycanthropey.....and then again maybe not at all.....the random factor of it all creates its own atmosphere.....o ya and Werewolf&Vampire....i read your Lycanthrope chronicles....very good

This.

In the daytime you wouldn't suspect any of the townsfolk of being a werecreature.. and maybe get to like one or two of them. Imagine then, slaying a werecreature, only to find out that it was that nice blacksmith or logger that you befriended in town.

Awesome thread, and I agree, we need more 'nads jumped to my neck' moments in Skyrim.

I'd like it, also, similar scenario, walking along at night, minding your own business. Mist as thick as Ulrich Leland's (remember that pillock?) skull.

You suddenly hear a guttaral, gurgling moan. In sheer instinct you draw your weapon(s) you franticlly look around for the source, out of the thick fog, comes several flailing arms reaching out for you. You steel yourself as several zombies mark you as their next meal.

Not a 'jump out of your skin' moment, but damn unsettling

Yes definitely.

Misty Graveyards, when you reach the epi-centre, corpses claw out of the earth and break from coffins. Stuff of nightmares sh*t.

(I don't think this is a particularly difficult thing to program is it?)

I know that there are a few folk out there who don't like the idea of killing NPCs as this diminishes the population of the game-world (as it did in Oblivion) and I do share this opinion, but with Skyrim they've already stated that a family member or relative would take over their business, so you wouldn't be shortchanged.

...now, imagine that, a family full of Lycanthropes! (out for revenge! Yikes!)

Well, then they wouldn't be called werewolves if they changed at will. They would be called shapeshifters. I prefer to play as a werewolf and turn when the moons are full. It would be a burden to some. Lycanthropy can't be all perks and no downsides. It should be like Oblivion with equal amount of downsides(I never saw vampirism as a downside.)

This.

Werewolves don't turn back to their human form after they were killed.

/This. Unless of course they use Hircine's ring. Which should be used to contro Lycanthropy rather than cause the wearer to turn into a werebeast.
