France got too cocky and declared war on me. Their largest armies were further south so I took Picardie, Caux, and Normandie from them and Armagnac from their ally, Armagnac. Then I offered them peace when I saw my manpower was getting low. France really hates me now.
Nice. Which version of the game are you playing?
For clarification these are the expansions to the vanilla EU3 game
Napoleon's Ambition
In Nominee
Heir to the Throne
Divine Wind
EU3 Complete is everything up to In Nominee and is really, really good. No one should ever get the Vanilla game. EVER.
Heir to the Throne came out in Dec 2009 and makes a very good game great. It adds a very basic hereditary system and multiple different Casus Belli with different war goal for each. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes the game, it really makes the game shine.
I haven't played Divine Wind yet. It adds quite a bit of stuff in Japan and China along with some other changes. I have heard mixed reviews and probably won't get it until I hear better reviews of get svcked into an MP game that requires it.
They have also recently released EU3 Chronicles which includes all 4 expansions. This would be the most cost effective avenue for anyone who doesn't have Heir to the Throne yet. You would be limited to playing the DW version because you can't play past expansions once you install a new one.
I know you mentioned missions so it has to be In Nominee at least.
Well I want that one Verlox has but I haz no money
Yeah, I went with Crete. I'm about 100 years in and the Populist party decided to change the "Confederate Republic" to a "Democratic" one. The Populists are always most powerful in the Senate, usually owning half or more of the seats and consistently have one of their own being voted as Archon. They've started two rebellions when they've had majority seats but weren't the Archon :/Under a strong 4 years of a military leader, we snatched Rhodes up from the Bithynian rebls who held it despite having to accept the loss of stability. Just recently took Lycia on south Asia Minor and am part of a Crete-Macedonia-Epirus alliance which is quite promising for my small but increasingly wealthy trade empire. Taking Lycia opened up trade for iron as well meaning our military could expand to keep a strong presence on the mainland while our navy grows every year with new funds and technology
I'm watching the rebellion in Egypt closely now, with hopes that Cyprus will break away from Egypt and I'll be right there to take it and open up trade opportunities along the Phoencian coast. Oh hai Tidus. I play these to sharpen my political skills for the Timeline
Sounds like fun, I will have to give Rome another shot when I get back into a Paradox mode.
