The Patch Broke my 60 Gig...

So things were running about as well as Fallout 3, with occasional slowdown and lockups before the patch. Now the game doesn't even load half the time, it now takes 30-60 seconds before the save warning comes up and double that to load the main screen. It just goes black for the time in between. About 50% of the time it never proceeds past the second black screen, the other 50% is locks up the playstation completely (have to hit the button on the machine). Not starting is kind of a key issue; if they can't fix this tomorrow I may take it back.

I've seen a few people try this, so maybe it will work for you. Try uninstalling the game data (but not your saves). Re-install and see if the game still has those issues with the patch.

That was my next step, I have been trying to get this to work for a while now, but it just locks up completely now. The game data shows back up without the 1.01 on it, but it locks up right away without even getting to the autosave prompt. I have tried this 3 times now, but all with my system online, so I will try offline next.

We are up and running. Reinstalling the game data while offline, and then getting the 1.01 update online worked and everything seems to be working well. Something may have just gotten corrupted the first time, that was affecting the reinstall.
