The Previous Empires

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 6:14 pm

Can someone give me a quick rundown of the previous empires in tamriel? I've heard a lot about the 1st Empire and the 2nd Empire but I'm not sure who they were comprised of and what they did.... I also don't know which empire the current games take place during >.<. Any explanation would be appreciated.

My history is very rusty, but to my knowledge:

1st: Saint Alessia's empire.

2nd: Tiber/Hjalti/Talos's empire.

The Imperial Library has very condensed timelines on it that I'm too lazy to read.

I'm pretty sure the first empire of Skyrim preceded the Alessian empire by at least 100 years, unless we're just talking about the Cyrodiilic empires.

On that note, we are currently in the Mede empire, but for the most part, it is similar to the Septim dynasty.

There are two first empires, Alessia's and Ysgramor's. Merethic twas crazy.

Then we have the Reman dynasty.

Then, Tiber Tiber burning bright.

Also, de jure, Empire-under-Mede is a continuation of the third. De facto, it just ain't.

To be fair, Titus the First did follow the traditional Colovian pattern of "take over the White-Gold Tower and become boss" thing that started with Reman.

Doesn't make him a Septim.

At this point in Tamriel's history, is there really anybody worthy of the "Glory of Tiber" ?
