Contra

- No human contact. (like in sixual..well except if your into sixbots)
- You're a ugly sonofa[censored].
- Once dissabled you will beg to die.

Pro

- You can always decide when to quit.
- You can try to make things the way you want them to be.

If I had the resources at my desposal to save humanity and reshape it into it's Pre-War glory like House does? Absolutely.

Heh, thank you. (I never know how to respond to compliments, since I worry about coming off as vain.)

I think people just find it scary, but to me, it's no different than any other Life Support systems, this one just has MUCH better medical care.

But I don't want to wait 200 years doing absolutley nothing. Today is a bright new day in a tube... Then finally come out and just control 3 casino's and try to make New Vegas its own city. Really he just wanted to live through the apocalypse to turn vegas into its pre-war glory to scam people out of their money.

Yes, but it's what if someone dissables you, something you never thought possible...then you're pretty much screwed.

I don't think I could.

I mean, let's get real here. House predicted the approximate occurance of the Great War, found a way to fend off nuclear bombs and a way to stay alive for over 200 years.
House has a tremendous amount of willpower and drive, I myself, do not. I generally take the hand that life deals to me and I see it through, for better or worse. If I were to predict the end of the world, I'd probably just find a nice location to sit alone with someone I love, pop open a bottle of champagne, accept my fate and wait.

In that same sense, I can't picture myself fighting on for 200 years, trying to shape the recovery of humanity as I see fit. I'd ask "what's the point" and pull my own plug. That or I wouldn't look at things in a political sense, but rather use my Securitrons like some crime-fighting superhero. :toughninja:

Hm anyway, sure I would like to end up like house. I would kill the courier thought he might betray me.
Spoiler
I would have to be House to do it

If I were the only person I knew of that would have the knowhow to try to revive life after the war, I would see it as more of something that the world needs, not something I want.

By choice, no.

By necessity, yes.

But me personally- no way.

If the real world was ending I would be too busy getting loaded, running naked through shopping malls, and slapping cops.

amiright?

/snip

And there in lies the key to the idea. To go in to that life support system with no purpose is suicide mentally. To go in with the knowledge that, teamed with your genius and your resources, you could save a city, and possibly mankind, that's something worth fighting for. To me, Fate is a false word. A fate implies a pre-written destiny, but to me, if I have the power to save a city, despite 80-90% of the rest of the country being destroyed, I'd say becoming a man sealed in a LS system with the intention of reviving humanity is a far more worth goal than to say 'Oh no, the worlds ending, it's my fate to die this way' and neglect all that technology and wealth amassed.

Lost inspiration for it, then had favor for the idea of a guy from the Pre-War days just after the bombs fell, that didnt take off. If I get the spark, I may write a during New Vegas fan fiction with my GotM character..

No, you are really defenseless, and too many things could happen to make you powerless to do anything. Too much of a chance of it becoming a torture box.

If House is immortal then it's only a matter of time before he figures out a way to clone a body and put his brain in it.
