The Prison Breakout RP (Sign Up Thread)

I take it that I don't need to repost my sheet, since it's in the first post. :twirl:

Oh, but Dark Fox, quick question: It occurs to me that both my character and Walrus's character could cause quite a bit of magical mischief. What sorts of safeguards against magic will the prison have? Is there some sort of punishment program, or do they have battlemages with Silence spells all over the place, or maybe some sort of manacles of Silence attached to known magic users, or what?

I just want to be fair, and a high-security prison like this would certainly have something to stop all those rogue mages from just blowing up the place.

In morrowind they had slave bracers that drained magicka, thus negating any use of magic. I assume the same proceedure is used in all Imperial prisons.

Don't worry i have already thought it through. when people are taken into the prison they are processed by an inspector who will have them fitted for their new prison life, and will takes care of things like shirts, pants, and other safe items they wish to bring in with them, like books for example. Mages however, will be specially fitted with a pair of enchanted green bracelets on each arm that silence the spellcaster. These bracelets are also enchanted with a special effect that makes it impossible to take them off. These will be placed upon you before you are thrown in the prison cell.

So, can you describe the prison? Is it run-down and squalid, or orderly and secure?

very orderily and very secure. Imagine your regular old prison scale it down to mediveal terms then add in a huge courtyard in the middle. It was just built and is meant to hold several prisoners.

Wait, like, ever?

I hope you have a loophole, or else playing a mage after the breakout will be no fun at all.

Can't wait. :goodjob:

:cold: They have to be de-enchanted. Your character could do it themselves but they're silenced at the moment, so you can't get them off until you find another mage thats willing outside of the prison.

Wow, it's convenient since my character has a very close and free mage friend who he could probably find easily. Oh, the whims of fate!

They'll most likely be taken off by the people who free us.

What if I were to say that some of my brethren from the Order of Boethiah were waiting a mile due south of the prison, with my old armor and weapons? Could that be allowed?

Are you still recruiting people? If so......

Name: Aaron Marcellus

Nickname: Sver (pronounced sever), due to what he does to people he doesn't like

Age: 24

Race: Imperial

Birthsign: Steed

Class: Thief

Weapons: Steel shortsword (which was taken away after he was arrested), iron dagger that he hides in his shoe

Clothes: Rough tan shirt, tattered pale green pants, and some rough leather shoes

Skills: Short blade combat, stealth, lockpicking
Weaknesses: Anything shiny, really

Appearance: About 5' 9", skinny, blonde neck-length hair, pale skin, green eyes

Why you're in Jail: Theft, larceny, petty larceny, grand larceny, pretty much every word that can be associated with stealing

Personality: Aaron can be a pretty charming guy, but most people are too shallow to find that out. He tends to think things out though, and has learned to kill his impulse.

Bio/History: Aaron Marcellus was born in Cyrodill to an ex-legionarre and a newspaper courier. He had a pretty average childhood until he was 18. That's where he started getting these funny thoughts. He didn't want to end up in a dead end job for the rest of his life like his parents. That's when he decided that he wanted to be a thief. "It wouldn't be my first time." he told himself. Throughout Aaron's early years, he had always been a little filcher, but it had been extremely minor stuff. A few caramels from the sweets jar, for example.
Early one morning, around 4:30, Aaron broke into a warehouse in the Imperial City, bribed the guard with a few grams of moon sugar, and the rest is history.....

If the mages are silenced all the time, does that mean they can't talk?

Can we start now? If anyone wants to join, they could always arrive in the prison as a new inmate.
