Right now, for example smithing is extraordinarily easy, with the dagger approach, which ends up netting you godlike armour for the rest of your game (if you bother to find the ingredients of course)
I propose exponential (perhaps something less extreme? custom values?) differences each level for each creatable item.
Proportional to their attacking value/ armour value, obviously and tapering off as you level the skill...thus a dagger at level 15 could be 10% but at level 50 barely providing a percentage at all, of course i haven't done the math at all but this is far to easy and makes smithing just a side attraction rather than a "skill".
Of course mods could do this, but personally i think it detracts from the game too much.
