the problem with melee

No [censored] mods

Seriously you should have more than 2 mod slots to a weapon

if they could

Add grip , edge, element , misc mods to melee or just x number of slots and more modification slots

The lack of mods kills me for ballistic weapons and melee armor can be lacking at times too

Only thing that bothered me was the wrench. Hook mod was the coolest but does garbage damage.

Yeah I agree. Taking a melee weapon to an weapon station is very under whelming compared to the vast options guns get.

Oh, and here I thought someone else thought it was awful.

Oh well. Went and took my Orc Beserker, Brienne of Iliac for a spin in ESO yesterday. Have not had her out in ages. What she does it hit things with a big hammer. Her take on this is an edged weapon is for pussies, to sharpen and then immediately dull on the armor that's everywhere on humans, elves, orcs and beasts. A hammer is self decorating and just gets better as the battle wears on. It's a very good melee game. It's an absolute treat to get out there and bash stuff in ESO.

F4 is just awful, I may be repeating myself, but it is.

I find melee weapons to be way more powerful than the average gun. While they lack range, they can still deal damage from surprising distances in VATS. And of course the lack of ammo required is the icing on the cake. Sure, their lack of customisation options is a tad disappointing and the rate AP is consumed is high but I simply can't think of anything really worthwhile to add as a second mod slot that wouldn't take melee from occasionally troublesome right up to rendering 99% of firearms completely moot.
