The punished

Post » Sat Sep 04, 2010 4:38 pm

You know when you're in an oblivion gate and you come across this weird thing called the punished that contains items? Does anyoune know what it is supposed to be? I have noticed that it does pulsate from time to time so i am guessing it is (or was) alive so can anyone tell me what it is. Thanks in advance and have a cookie for answering :cookie: .

Looks like a body turned inside out, perhaps a less fortunate adventurer?

Yeah, I think it's just some previous unfortunate adventurer who got done in and turned into a ghoulish cocoon, and the stuff you find was what he had in his pockets.

It's clearly one of Mehrunes Dagon's butt pimples. :P

Aside from that most obvious explanation, it might either be an unfortunate would-be hero who was turned inside out, or a lesser daedra whom is being "punished" by his superiors for some obscure reason. (probably sleeping on the job and letting pesky mortal heroes invade the realm.)

I'd guess it'd be a lesser Daedra. They'd be the most likely in the Deadlands to be punished, and since they're immortal, it'd be teaching them a lesson that they will be in a position to learn.

Given that Mehrunes Dagon has shown that he can and will grant eternal life to mortals

Mankar Camoran's Paradise
, it's not unthinkable that they started out as human beings, although I prefer to believe they might have been Mythic Dawn followers rather than adventurers, as there are simply too many to be caused by hapless adventurers so soon after the Siege of Kvatch.
