The race that takes over after the empire.

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 5:46 am

Who do you think will take over after the fallen empire if a new one rises? I am not shure I think maby a Nord/Orc Aliance my go very far untill they hit the Wood Elfs and The beast raceses though. IF the last three I mentioned (not on pole) banded together they would win no contest. I may not vote untill I see your opinions. I did not add impirials because they just lost an empire.

I think we throw in a change-up. For TES V, I would have it be about the Nordic city-states trying to forge an alliance to create an empire. TES VI could be about the high elves doing something similar to what they had before with the wood elves, but the wood elves jerk them around. So, the two most likely candidates for an empire starter are tied up or screwed up. This lets Bethesda take the unexpected option for who controls the new empire, if they make an empire.

Nords, possibly in an Alliance with the Orcs. They're a great warrior race, territorial, hardy and proud

The only thing they lack is unity. All they need is a great leader to unite Skyrim and create a coherant and loyal army and they could expand their territory

But what about gurila warfare and archery that can be put to deadly use in a war. Gurilla archers armed with small Shields and good side arms would be deadly shoot all their arrows descend onto the battled column and would be so fast a charge = fresh the enemy isn't it would be a macacer.

As much as I hate to admit it, it would probably be those damn altmer. they already think they're in charge anyway and if someone had to step up it would be those arrogant jerks. it would be nice to see a revolution of sorts by the beast races but I've got to give it to the high elves, they have a LOT of ambition and seem to crave authority.

But also... when did the imperials lose the empire, last I checked the empire is still ruled by the council after the dragon fires were re-lit?

That will turn around to be an arrow in the ass. The aragance will make the other races eager to get out of the altmers yoke. I bet even if they made an empire they would have a much harder time that the Impirials.

Yes, in Black Marsh and Valenwood. Guerilla tactics would be useless in the open fields of Cyrodill, the planes of Hammerfell or the tundra of Skyrim

The mountains and woods in skyrim would work well so would woods in cyrodil but not quite as well. I think I am voting for the orcs or argonians not shure yet but gurila tactics are good. You need heavy troops and cav though still. Do the orcs use archers? Also anyone know if the argonians have a form of cav or slightly heavy inf?

Argonians. They have pretty much taken southern Morrowind. There isn't really a need for a military leader, as the hist can mobilize entire armies. Somehow, they would have to expand the hist trees network wherever they went though. I don't see them taking Summerset isle though, or possibly even Valenwood. The Altmer don't seem too eager to take over all Tamriel at the moment, but they wouldn't give up what they already have.

If this were still the Morrowind era, I'd say that the Dunmer definitely possessed the greatest strength and discipline, even with two of the Tribunal out of commission. Too bad Helseth was an Imperial pawn.

Right now, probably the Nords.

Why aren't Imperials a choice? This isn't the worst position Imperials have been in. They fought their way of slavery to form their first empire. I wouldn't underestimate their ability to form a new empire. They're called Imperials for a reason.

I think there's probably going to be 3 empires. First we have the Aldmeri Dominion in the south, controlling the Summerset Isles, Valenwood, and possibly parts of Elsweyr and Cyrodiil.

Then we have the Hist Empire, which controlls Black March and parts of Morrowind, they might also control the area around Leyawiin, but I won't say that for sure.

Finally, we have a human empire, led by either Imperials or Nords, much like the Cyridiilic Empire was, which controlls most of Cyrodiil, Skyrim, and northern Elsweyr.

I think that Hammerfell and High Rock will disolve into many kingdoms, like we saw in Daggerfall (the game). Both the Aldmeri Dominion and the Cyrodiil/Nord Empire would have to compete for controll in the region, sparking a scenario similar to the Cold War, or more interesting, the Great Game.

Either Nords or Argonians. Argonians most likely, because they already started to expand their empire after the Oblivion crisis.

No, they're not. They're a sophisticated and cultured people with a rich history. Which makes them even more awesome.

Redguards, as they are closest to Imperials which is not on the list but is what I would click if it were.

I'm pretty sure that Imperials are much more closely related to Nords. Actually, I don't think they share any common heritage with Redguards at all...

What do you mean by closest?

Argonians. They seem to be doing pretty well for themselves taking over most of Morrowind and keeping Black Marsh.

Spoiler
Although a lot of their population was turned into mindless zombies by Umbriel so...

Where are the Imperials? they have already started re-building their emipre, and seem to be doing fairly well As of Infernal city, although
Spoiler
it all depends on what happens to Umbriel.

why not the akavir races?

with the kamal attacking the tang mo every summer again and again, the Tang Mo finally have to retreat. they go all the way back to the lands of the Ka ' Po Tun and Tsaesci. it is stated that those to kingdoms are already weakened by their wars in the past they finally have to give in to the Kamal, but instead of surrendering themselfs and becoming slaves they cross the sea too Tamriel and start invading it to establish new kingdoms.

i think they would be strong enough to take over the empire in its crumbling state. and imagine an army of vampire snake people, tiger-dragons and differentb breeds of monkeys (ok they are somewhat silly) who where supposed to be legends and shrouded in something close to godhood comming at you and your comrades. and don't forget Tosh Raka, the first tiger-dragon to ascent to dragonhood standing between the ranks.

hell, they would make a good chance of conquering tamriel.

Why would any one race rule all the land?

The Empire was not comprised only of Cyrodill people, after all. There were periods of time where Dunmer held the throne, and at one point Tsaeci.

Talos himself was a full blooded Breton or a Nord depending on who you ask.

Ocato the High Elf was pretty much the de facto ruler of Tamriel from the time Martin died until the time Titus Mede took the throne.

I don't see any race as having the organizational structure or the brazen ambition to "take over" the remains of the empire, with the exception of the Altmer. Still, I think that it would be more like the death of the Roman Empire, with warring factions tearing off bits and pieces until there's nothing left but ruin and chaos. Sounds great! Let's begin!
