"No [censored], eh? I heard about him over GNR. Crazy kid goes on Mutie killing sprees. It was pretty hard for me and my brother to make it to Underworld. We climbed over the walls behind the Lincoln Memorial, had to outrun slavers, sneak past the Brotherhood, and get past the Uglies. I actually got shot in my arm in the process. Man, back in Underworld we haven't seen a smoothskin in years. They'd go nuts if they saw you."

"Well if we are doing introductions" River shifted his coat and breathed deeply hmmm.... now how shall I say this, ah yes that works"I am River, came here because a trader had been carrying one of those fliers in a bulk of paper and sold it to me, all I had wanted was some kindling for my fire lucky I looked at the thing." River then looked at the ghoul directly "huh, interesting to know thanks for the info."

"Damn, well, River, if you've listened to our pasts we have the right to yours, cmon. Travis, you mean nuts in a good way or a rip off my arm way?"

"I mean, everybody would go crazy and wear their nicest clothing because a human just walked in. You know, they'd be really nice, compliment you, things like that. But, you know, we're all just trying to kill time with our stories."

"Yeah, I guess we are."

((OOC: I'm gonna get off for a little while, I've been on all day. Peace for now))

Erin ignored the question that came from behind her, focusing on the controls, and not crashing. She noticed the wind and sand were picking up too.

"We should be alright. I haven't gotten any alerts on parts clogging or anything like that. I'll let you know if something comes up," Erin said into her headset, "Just try to keep at a high altitude and we should be able to avoid it."

Time was of the essence on this mission, and Erin wanted to get paid.

"well I suppose you do deserve something after getting whooped in poker like you did." River straightened his coat and spoke slowly in a reserved tone " I am not nearly as interesting as you two in my history, my father was an entertainer ,never knew my mother. We would travel giving shows to larger encampments and towns, I learned from my father and after several years we parted I was young and he didn't want to put up with my crap, so after that I began working as a hunter selling meat to the traders and larger groups of people around here." River exhaled "pretty much all there is for me."

"I'm more worried about landing," John said, "If we do get alot of wind we'll have visibilty problems." John pressed a few buttons to keep the aircraft steady and gain height. John looked out the cockpit, he could see a ruined highway in the distance, John pushed forward on the throttle ad gave some more speed to the vertibird.

Mel heard that they may be in a sandstorm

"Just keep heading forward. I have a feeling were near. If you manage to see anything, like a landmark, just chime me in." Mel said

"Not much," John said, "Just a ruined highway." John pressed a few more swtiches before the thought sturck him, "Isn't Girdershade near there?" John asked. Turning the aircraft John made it go slightly towards the north west. He looked around, the sand causeing visibilty issues.

Jack, one of the raiders at Evergreen Mills, was one of the first people to hear the vertibird. He was running to tell his boss about it. He told his boss taht an Enclave flyer was near.


"Shoot it down." His boss said. So the raiders started looking around for a missle lancher they could use.

"Huh, Girdirshade. I don't know how they survive. A shack and 2 peopel in radrscopian country. Unbelievable."

The raiders had finnaly gotten their hands on a missle launcher. They were setting it up on teh roof of Evergreen Mills, and waiting for the right moment to strike. Luckily, the sandstorm had hidden them, and somone from a vertibird could barley see them anyways, without a sandstorm.

"We should be fine around here. If there's a Super Mutant or something down there, we can pop open the door and I'll let them eat lead." Travis said with confidence.

(OOC: Glad you're back, and also Warrington Station is like a maze, took me a half hour to get out of there.)

"Hey, is this sandstorm givin us trouble? Clogging anything?"

((OOC: You think that place is hard? Go to Hubris Comics.. It's terrible.))

"No, not yet at least. Mel says we'll probably be landing soon."

The raiders had finnaly seen an outline of the vertibird. They loaded up one of the 4 rockets they found, and fired. It nearly missed the vertibird by 5 inches.

Mel saw a thing fly by outside. It was really close and looked odd.

"You guys see that?" He said.

"Oh God, It looked like a missile!! Start evasive maneuvers!!"

"Holy [censored].. Hell yeah I saw that. Alright, guys, lock and load." Travis said as he strapped on his combat helmet. It was black, with the white stripes around it to match the armor. He picked up his assault rifle from the floor and turned off the safety. "How about we pop open the hatch and let me have a go with this thing, eh?"

The Raiders had loaded up their second rocket, and fired. This one missed too, but hit a rock nearby, causing a landslide.

"Crap!" Mel Yelled. He reached for his modified sniper and braced himself fro impact. "We wont last long. It will only take one shot and we'll go down!"

"Guys, we need to grab those parachutes and get the hell out of this thing! One more missile and we all get blown to hell!" Travis yelled. Travis was ready to get moving soon, he didn't want to die today.

Once the first rocket flew by the sensors on the Verti-Bird went wild. A screen came down in Erin's face. It had a rubber pad around it for putting her face to, and the screen revealed a thermal image of what the guns were aiming at. She quickly oriented herself to it as the second rocket flew by. Then she grabbed the joy-stick for the gun and let a stream of lasers fly down on the raiders. Most of them scrambled to cover after the first spray from the guns, but the few that didn't were quickly hit. A few strikes of lasers hit a nearby truck that exploded into a pillar of fire. Erin held down the button again, but this time nothing came. A light came up on the dash board reading "jammed".

"The guns jammed!" she yelled.

"Theres only 5!" Mel Yelled, "Theres 9 of us! 4 Are going to have to jump!"

Using the third missle, the raiders fired. It also missed. Flew into the sky past the vertibird.

Erin pressed a switch, opening the loading door of the Verti-Bird.

"Grab some chutes and jump!" she yelled to the others, "We'll try and bring this thing down without getting hit!"

Erin jammed on the steering, banking hard to the right dodging a missile. They were running out of time, and the raiders were spread out a long ways, it would be tough to escape their missile fire.
