"If there's only five we have to share! Whoever is sharing with each other is up to you guys. Two per parachute. Someone will get their own. We have to hurry before we die!" Travis strapped his rifle to his back and picked up a parahcute. "Alright, I'll go first. Is anyone coming with me or not?!"

Mel looked at the ghoul.

"Good idea." Mel said as he grabbed a parachute. But when he pulled it out its strap to put it on snapped. "Thats just great." He said, "I'll look around for another, everyone else needs to get out of here."

"Well, now we all need to share. I know you might not want to share the parachute but this is a matter of life and death. We all need to go now! Someone come with me, I'm going first."

"THAT'S WHY I'M TELLING YOU GUYS TO SHARE!!! I'm about to jump without any of you guys if nobody wants to step up and jump off with me. We only have seconds before this thing blows up. Last offer. Anybody coming with me? Or NOT?!" Travis yelled. He was becoming annoyed that nobody had the guts to jump with him.

Mel looked at Travis and said "Lets get the hell out of here." He started moving towards the ghoul in the crowded vertibird, full of paniced people.

Travis hoisted the backpack over his shoulder and buckled it to his chest. "Alright, I'm gonna jump. Hold on to the pack, and whatever you do, DON'T LET GO." Travis said.

Mel grabbed on to the pack. "We better live through this!" Mel said. He was pretty scared. If the raiders were shooting at them, there was a chance that they might not land ok.

With that, Travis jumped off. A wave of adrenaline pumped through him as he fell. He tried not to scream. Air rapidly blew across his face. When the moment was right, he pulled on the string. A 'POP' came out as the chute removed itself from the pack. They were starting to go slower. They were still decently high up, about half a mile off the ground.

Travis prepared himself as they became yards from the ground. Then they landed. Travis stumbled as he hit the ground. The large parachute covered up Travis and Mel. Travis unfolded himself from the large chute and got a breath of fresh air. "Hey Mel, you okay?" Travis called.

River watched as the ghoul he had been previously speaking with and the man that had verbally whipped him earlier in the morning jumped out the back of the Vertibird. River buckled the straps on his coat and flattened his hat into a disk placing it on the small of his back. well, time to go I guess. "So," river began while shouldering a pack in the off chance he needed to leave these people in the dust immediately "who goes next?"
The sand from the open exit in the vehicle added a foreboding hiss to the atmosphere.

John was also still at the controls, keeping the vertibird steady for the others to jump. John watched as a another missile whizzed right past them, just missing the cockpit. "You best jump," John said to Erin, "Otherwise you won't be leaving." John was calmer then he should be, he just kept on trying to keep the aircraft in one peice.

"RIVER! LET ME ON!" Mikhail secured his weapons inside their holsters and ran up to River. After checking that the chute was in working order he said, "Alright, lets get outta this thing." He grabbed the parachute so hard his knuckles threatened to pop from their joints and he readied to jump.

Erin nodded quickly and left the co-pilot seat. As she got into the passenger area she grabbed a parachute, leaving one more. She buttoned her coat up before strapping the parachute onto her and securing her weapons. Slowly she walked to the open loading door, the howling wind blowing her hair back. Then she looked down and saw how high up they were. She stepped back a few feet, and then stood still, paralyzed in fear.

John started to fiddle with more of the controls, he slowed the vertibird down. He didn't want to jump at a fast speed with no one at the controls. After Erin had jumped he made his way to the last parachute, he slung it over his back, looking again out the cockpit window to make sure there were not any problems. John tied his scarf around his neck and grabbed his rifle during this he had noticed Erin not doing anything, just standing at the door

John could now see the fear on Erin's face, "Dammit women," John said, "Jump!" John had come up behind Erin, "Or I'll push you," John said to her, and would most likely do so, he didn't want to die in an aircraft.

Erin looked at Enfield and said, "There's still people that need a chute, we can't take both."

She took her parachute off and tossed it to another person.

"Is there another way? Can't we land this thing? How do we know these chutes are even going to work?!" Erin said spitting out questions in rapid fire.

She had never felt this way. She felt like either way she went she would die.

John could tell Erin was trying to skip on on jumping, this was the only way, any hope of landing would make the vertibird it's self an easy target and would engulf them in an explosion if hit by a missile, "You're jumping and thats final," John told her, "And the only way to find out is to jump, so grab on." John stared at her, waiting for her to do so. John was getting annoyed at her reluctance.

Erin looked at Enfield and knew that he meant it. Slowly, and shaking, she walked towards the loading door. She didn't walk to the edge, but turned to Enfield.

"I think I'm ready," she said just loud enough to be heard.

River grinned and secured his coat one last time before nodding to the rest of the people in the cabin and noticing the pilots were just about to leave Time to flee the sinking ship I believe"Hope one of you knows how to fly this thing as the pilots seem to be leaving."
Turning to his jumping partner River spoke with a small grin before looking at the parachute I wonder if this cord is the one that opens this thing "Please do hang on as I'd hate to have to talk to myself on the way to wherever we are going." well that and sand makes meat gritty
River's point was punctuated by himself, and seeing as he was connected his passenger dropped into the howling terror that was a full blown sandstorm.

"Well you best be," John said to Erin. He walked up to her, "Now grab on, and don't let go, for your own sake.." John looked down into the sandstorm, thinking to himself, he just hoped the parachute wouldn't be caught up with the wind. Without a hint of warned, with Erin gripping on to him he jumped, giving a quick glance to the aircraft as it declined towards the ground.

After putting what John believed to be enough space between him and the vertibird he pulled the cord and both he and erin went back up a few feet as the wind caught caught the parachute, "Not so bad is it?" John asked her, in a mocking tone.

Once the two jumped Erin kept her eyes closed the entire time. She knew when the parachute opened though, the rush of air calmed as they descended slowly to the ground. She just gripped Enfield tighter the longer they were in the air.

Erin tried to think of something to reply to Enfield's mocking, but she wasn't putting much thought into that. She was focusing on other things, like not falling.

John saw as the ground got closer, in braced himself for the impact as his feet hit the sand. John fell to his side, bringing Erin down to the ground as well. The sand was still blowing making ti difficult to see more then a few metres ahead. "Get up," John ordered, "We need to regroup with the rest." John got to his feet and pulled the parachute off his shoulders

John pulled his scraf up over the lower part of his face to protect himself from the sand, and unslung his rifle, gripping it tightly. He looked into the thick blanket of sand blowing about them. John did a quick check with his rifle, a few new sratches added to the gun, but nothing serious. "Hmm, which way?" John asked, getting their bearings would be difficult.

"Thank you River, you've saved my life." Mikhail coughes violently and takes a drink of vodka to calm his nerves. "Well, what are we going to do now, we're in the middle of nowhere, no Vertibird, and with someone trying to kill us. Radier, Brotherhood, hell, maybe even Enclave!"

As Erin hit the ground she let go of Enfield and rolled to her feet. She quickly brushed the dirt of her and looked around. The sandstorm made it quite hard to see very far.

"The sandstorm was coming North, so if it hasn't changed course we should know which way is which. What direction should we head?" she asked.

Erin began looking at her weapons, her magnum was fine, but the FN FAL was a little dinged up. Last she felt for her Ka-bar knife that was sheathed at the back of her belt. That was there, it always was.

John pushed his sunglasses back up his nose and thought for a moment, "Well the first to jump would most likely be behind us," John said, "Though others may be infront." John looked towards the direction they were orignally going in the vertibird, "Though, if anyone has any sense, get to the destination, we were going after a garage, means there will be shelter to get out of the storm." John slung his rifle over his shoulder and walked towards what was hopefully west, "Come on, unless you like being in the middle of this?"

"I'm coming," she said lowly.

Erin was still a little shaken from the jump so instead of coming back with something snide, she just followed Enfield. The sandstorm picked up in intensity, and made traveling through it a huge hassle. Erin pulled her sunglasses out of her coat pocket and put them on, then unslung her FAL in case there was anybody watching them.

After a while Erin stopped Enfield and said, "Thanks for jumping with me, Enfield."

She wasn't sure why she said that, especially with the way he was treating her like a child that had just done something wrong, but she wanted to break any tension there was between them.
