don't worry, i'm not mad at you.
and you didn't answer... you just stated your opinion of the importance of being "hardcoe".
No i stated the fact that many people don't want it because they are not good enough... look over the forums if you don't believe me...
I'm on PS4 and a hardcoe gamer who plays on suvival difficulty. I platinumed both FO3 (Very Hard) and FONV (on HD mode Very Hard) and I think people should have an option to toggle off save on sleep only. Sometimes real life gets in the way of entertainment and people aren't gonna like losing hours of progress because they had to attend to some real world responsibilities and there wasn't a bed around to save the game. Or maybe the game crashed, or maybe the power went out. Many things could interrupt your gaming that are out of your control.
Why does it bother you that strangers have an option that may help them enjoy the game while being able to take care of real life stuff? It's a one player offline game. Complaining about other people having an option is pretty lame. It doesn't speak well about you as a person.
Your ill will just makes me want the toggle even more. Even if I end up not using it.
Stating an opinion is not a fact. I'd also suggest you take your own advice and read the reasons on *why* folks say its a bad idea.
Exactly what i'm saying.
you are the god of hardcoe, blessed with 1337 skillz.
your [censored] is so big you could one-hit Chuck Norris with it.
all worship Enclaver!
was that enough for today?
noone is worth less than you. in fact you make yourself look like a fool.
stop putting yourself over others if you want to be taken seriously...
It is not my opinion that many people have clearly said that they want survival dumbed down because it is to hard for them.
That is isn't my reason. I am on xbox and want it for player freedom. Simple as that. In single player games I want the freedom to tailor the difficultly and experience to my tastes whenever and wherever possible.
I'm not sure where you get your information but I have over a hundred mods and haven't had but 2 crashes in 600 hours and they were both on a vanilla run right after release. The release of the official modding tools aren't going to magically have Bethesda supporting mods, mod authors support mods not Bethesda.
Stop projecting your insecurities onto me... I am not above casuals for being hardcoe i am simply better at gaming then them... and casuals shouldn't have any say over what happens with a mode that is designed for hardcoe players.
you can't even tell if you're better at gaming than me
this was my first gaming console http://www.zock.com/8-Bit/D_Videoplay.HTML
back in the 70s...
sure, i lost a bit of reaction time, precision and aggressiveness since that... but i'm quite experienced
at the moment i'm playing with only shotguns, no vats, no sneak, no silencers on the current "survival". i'm all up to new challenges. but some of the announced changes aren't challenging for me but tend to make the game more boring by wasting my time with micromanagement which keeps me from playing.
"oh, walking...now THAT'S a challenge"
"sleeeping, now that keeps my adrenaline flowing"
Maybe those 'casuals' are interested in some or most of the features associated with survival and would like them to be accessible. Of all of these features, the only one being heavily criticized is the save feature, which is a meta game concern. None of the actual game play features are getting a whole lot of attention, even the fast travel restrictions.
They simply want options. Being 'casual' about video games means they don't have much of their egos wrapped up in their imagined video game prowess and as a result tend to shrug at what others do with their games.
I know they want cheat toggle and stuff but Bethesda shouldn't have to add cheat options that is what mods are for so wait for a mod or use the console command Bethesda has better things to do than add cheat support... and hardcoe gaming has nothing to with egos stop projecting your low self esteem onto me... hardcoe players play for a challenge...
Your [censored] must be impressive.
On topic - I think options are good. I'll at least try out the new survival mode, no matter what it ends up being. I loved NV's hardcoe mode.
Still doesn't change the fact it want it dumbed down with cheat options... wait for mods or console commands dont make Bethesda take time to add cheats for you...
Well, as arguing with you any further would violate one of my personal rules, I'm going to humbly bow out of this conversation and offer my sincere wish that you a great day.
cheat toggle? Lol you are quite the character It's a single player game, so knowing all those cheats are out there without you being able to telll them so, must be infuriating for you, I totally feel you!!
I started out on ZX Spectrum with Chuckie Egg (lol) and the Atari 2600. Loved it, and still do
The retro gamer in me is curious about that! But I did just order the https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-sinclair-zx-spectrum-vega-plus-console#/.
Anyway on topic, I would love to have sliders and toggles for everything. I could never find a difficulty that was just right in any Bethesda game so I ended up downloading a mod in SKyrim that let me pick how much damage I do, how much damage I take, gold found, pricing for items...
I could see something like that work for Fallout, a toggle for diseases, healing, carry weight, saving, damage taken/received that way a player can customize the difficulty how they see fit.
Best to ignore them.
Just because it is a single player game doens't mean there isn't cheat...
I play on PS4, and my game started crashing a lot around level 15, and there were quite a few bugs as well. Your post is full of generalizations ,and it doesn't really follow logically simply because you base your entire argument on a faulty premise that PC users are to blame for that position. It truly makes no sense actually.
Point being, that tailoring a game for your specific needs and wants, can hardly be called a cheat, since there is no one to cheat. Now, if there was a sort of competition involved in it, your point would be valid, alas, it is not.
It's called hardcoe mode, and honestly, I think Bethesda has made quite a huge improvement with it. There's a lot of things I don't like about Fallout 4 -- perk system for instance, but it's something I have to deal with, you can deal with the save feature too. It's apart of the game. Either play it or don't.
Basically, let Bethesda make the game. If there is something you don't like, mod it.
My god, this discussion continues. I can't be bothered to read all the posts, some of which I'm sure I'd be sympathetic with, but I will tell you that if you ever said to my face that I am not a fan of the sleep-to-save idea because I'm afraid of the challenge or need to "cheat" or anything else of this nature, you'd be on your ass faster than you could finish your stupid, elitist, strawman of a ragdoll argument.
Get over yourselves.
lol, you'd be willing to go to jail over that? It's not something to get mad about.
