The Redguard faces are being completely ignored! : V - Skyrim

I don't really like how they went from a civilized and proud warrior race to a cannibal tribe.

Were I a lesser man I might throw the word "racism" out there, but to be perfectly honest I'm wondering what the [censored] you're talking about? I wasn't aware that mutton chops and conservative coiffed hairstyles were indicators of cannibalism now.

EDIT: Yeah, after seeing that post above me about bones going through noses I think I'm going to be a lesser man and let the "r" word out. They have the same amount of variation as the other three human races, and I don't see you saying such things about the white ones that also have facepaint and crazy hairdos.

I do think that the redgruards look awesome and that they are one of the better looking races but I don't think I would play one on my first run when I get skyrim.

What stands out to you as cannibalistic? Serious question as I still think they look like proud warriors.

I somewhat agree. They are an exotic bunch, from off the western isles. I believe their island began eroding and becoming overwhelmed by the ocean so they headed east and conquered the orcs off their land in hopes of their own survival. I believe they are a proud race, but because they are exotic they may seem a bit barbaric to the Imperial empire. I believe they are one of the more tactical races when it comes to war.

Hmmmm.... sometimes I can only shake my head at what I read here.

Have you SEEN the other races? There are a few Redguards that I could see in a grocery store. Not saying they look fantastic but there is absolutely nothing inherently cannibal about them. You're getting a bit ethnocentric. I dont see how you can equate such things with cannibalism. [censored] even the people all over the world who practice such body art and the like dont eat people

Explain how. Only ones I could really see that applying to are the second and third females on the bottom row. All of the rest of them look pretty normal.

All races look more barbaric in Skyrim. They look like they could resemble African tribes, and in the lore sense perhaps they're behaving like their Yokuda ancestors. I think they look really awesome.
That said, I didn't notice any bones. The closest thing I could relate to a tribe would be the tattoos, and again, they could be Yokudan tattoos. Sort of like the dunmer Tribunal tattoo?

You're probably right. I'm interested in making a character that looks very similar to me. I'm white, so I'm going to make a breton or nord.

With that said, second row, 4th image.... long white beard.... freaking EPIC

Yeah they look pretty cool, on my 2nd playthrough i usually play as a warrior (my 1st caracter is magic/stealth) and i always choose a redguard.
Maybe i will create a Kimbo Slice look-alike redguard :toughninja:

All I can say about the Redguard is my warrior, who will naturally be one, is unfortunately going to have to wait 300 hours while I get Altmer mage out of my system. After that it's hours in the face gen making a character who is black, beautiful, and very, very dangerous to know. They rock.

There is barely any Hype for Breton, Redguards and Imperials, the reason being is that they are all Similar, Nords are hyped because Its in Skyrim, Beasts are hyped because they are Cat and Lizard Men, and Elves are hyped because.....Well they are elves.

I really like the Redguards, actually, they look really bad ass. I think I might play as one for the first time ever. Usually a Dunmer, but the Redguards seem like a logical choice for Skyrim without being vanilla Nord.

I dunno. To me they look very standard; I was hoping for at least some haircuts to differentiate them but instead a bunch of them are just bald. Not that impressive in that respect

I like the Redguards. I like the really black one from the pictures the journalists released even more though. I wish they were all that black, it would add more to their uniqueness.

they look damn good dont get me wrong but i dont really play as them im more of a sneak and shoot person not a rawr im gonna cut you with an over glorified over sized kitchen knife while wearing a heavy iron suit kind of guy :shrug:

Everyone is talking about the beast races, the elves, and even Nords.

But no one is talking about the Redguards!

In my opinion, this is by far the most realistic looking group of preset faces.

I mean, look at top row center guy. Dude looks like a straight up NFL linebacker!

Then the one right next to him (top row, second from right) looks like the dude from the book The Cay (the blind guy).

On the second row, the first three guys look so realistic.

I think the redguards are easily the best looking of all the presets. They look so real!

I am probably the only one who will say this, but I might have switched my character choice TO a redguard after seeing this!
