The Return of ? in Skyrim

Post » Tue May 03, 2011 4:03 am

This poll is to vote for a npc you wish to see again in Skyrim, could be as a reference or another incarnation like M'Aiq the Liar from Morrowind and then Oblivion.
I only added Morrowind and Oblivion because i am familiar with some of them :turtle:

For example i believe Mannimarco should return as it should be a powerfull lich necromancer , in Oblivion he was pretty meh (in my opinion of course) :meh: , i would also love to see M'Aiq the Liar i believe i can't get enough of him is a lovely character , i also got attached in some way to Dar-Ma "myyyy heeero" aww with those big black eyes, and of course Ahnassi :) . I am also very attached to Caius Cosades he was my master, and lol when i found that skooma pipe under his bed haha! and my favorite is Nerevar , won't say much about him i don't want to spread spoilers just in case.

If you want to add someone or if i made a mistake please let me know , i am also very sorry if i break the rules in some way

You do realize that Skyrim is 200 years after Oblivion, right?

I voted for Divayth Fyr, Nerevar, Vivec, Umbra, Mannimarco and the Gray Fox. However, most of them should be just referred to, as most are likely dead.

I'd like to see a reference that the Gray Fox is still running the Thieves Guild, passing down the cowl from your Oblivion character. Divayth Fyr better be in the game, as the dunmer fled to Solstheim and Skyrim.

Why are a lot of your options people that are already dead?

Umbra will hopefully make a return, unless something in the next novel prevents that.

I've always imagined that Vivec will have a "second coming." Probably just a fantasy...

I'd also like to see Mannimarco come back and be like "That punk Altmer in Cyrodiil was just a petty avatar that I was barely acknowledging. I'm a crazy badass god, [string-of-swear-words]" Maybe that's just me. :P

I think the gray fox is the most believable, becuase when he dies it is just passed to another person, like the dreaded pirate Rodgers
also manimarco since he isn't actually dead

Dar-ma of course...she's the kindest and sweetest character in TES. She also contributed more to the hero character than anyone else.

/stupidity.

M'Aiq has to make a return. Umbra too. Umbra isn't a single person anyways..so that should make a return. Ooooo I can't wait to find Umbra somewhere (top of mountain please?) and epicly ownificate him/her and take their TWO HANDED sword for my own :).

Right? He was so scary in Daggerfall, and he was some Altmer loser in Oblivion.

I'd like to hear some reference to the Hero of Kvatch. Most likely he/she'd be dead (unless yours was Elven) but a reference would be a nice treat.

Umbra, Mannimarco, and The Gray Fox would not be out of place, seeing as how Umbra is a sword, Mannimarco is hundreds of years old and had died before, and The Gray Fox is a new person every few years. It would also make a bit of sense for Haskill to be back if Sheogorath were to favor him and grant him a longer or immortal life as his servant. The talking mudcrab merchant did not have a specific name, and could thus be brought back in the form of any mudcrab at all. Yagram Bagarn was a dwarf, and it is unknown how long they live, but it is clear that they do live for a long time. If he managed to survive the corpus disease, he could still be alive somewhere, though he did hint at his coming death.

Why do people always vote for Umbra? Because it was one of the most powerful weapons in the game? That can change you know... I'm just suprised because the sword itself is an ugly solid black. It's like someone had it murdered out.

WHERE"S JIUB!?!?!?!?!?!
You can't forget Jiub! He's the most important character in the game! I got so attached to him after the four sentences he said to me! I even played as him and became the Nerevar for the first time as Jiub!

Jiub got owned during the Oblivion Crisis. Long dead I'm afraid.

Yes but the story of a wandering warrior who just wants a clean death ala MW is pretty awesome. The fact that a relic is passed down from epic warrior to epic warrior makes achieving it a fun thing to do in itself.

Plus if you want a dead looking black sword to svck souls from people, then that's pretty cool too..

M'aiq, Mudcrab, Vivec. Creeper was too social to still be around. Never got too into Umbra. Gray Fox the mask or the actual person?

I'd like to see Vivec as having migrated to Windhelm or Winter Hold after the fall of Morrowind and setting up camp there.

Divayth Fyr is the most likely IMO - already how old in Morrowind? So his potential for longevity is already demonstrated, 200 years is a p*ss in the pot in terms of his lifespan. I doubt he'd be stopped by a major volcanic eruption either, I imagine him levitating to the safety of some Skyrim backwater and laying low for a bit. I don't expect him to be in the game, but I wouldn't be too surprised if he turned up somewhere, if that makes any sense.
