The Rise and Fall of the Forelli Family RP
The year is 2278, while the Great War has destroyed the majority of the 'Big Apple' things have been significantly improved and just like before the 'Cosa Nostra' makes there presence known. The Forelli Family is an Italian crime syndicate that derives from it's Sicillian roots. New York has now gained electricity from a core reactor that Enclave scientists had been developing for years. So now the racketeering business plays a prominent part in the Mafioso's business affairs. The Forelli family lead by Tommy "The Terror" Forelli is the most significant Mafia family living in New York. They took control of all the illegitimate business dealings that New York had to offer. This included Narcotics, Bootlegging, Prostitution and surprisingly protection for Ghoul's. The latter is a key figure to the Forelli's income as there are now a distinct number of Ghoul's inhabiting New York. The mob protects them from any physical abuse or intimidation and send a message to the person responsible.

The Forelli family rose to fame in 2258 when the then don Jimmy Falcone begin importing drugs from other key states that had survived the Great War. Since then they've become the official established rulers of New York. Jimmy Falcone lead the family to new heights when the scientists provided electricity for the population. Casino's and other services were built by laborer's in the town, but there income went to the family and they only received a small profit. Jimmy saw Tommy Forelli earning big money so he promoted him to a Capo. Tommy proved a stable, intimidating enforcer but also showed great wit when outsmarting his foes. Tommy is referred to as a master manipulator and was Jimmy's most promising protege. When Jimmy died in 2772 Tommy took over the family and expanded on Jimmy's vision, but he treated the workers more fairly and was a respected leader in the town.

But now the family have two huge threats poking at there necks trying to take them out for good. The Gambino crime family wanted to seize New York from the Forelli's but Tommy remained defiant and persisted if the Gambino's wanted a war Tommy would accept. The Forelli's planned to massacre the Gambino's when they least expected it as they didn't really seem them as much as a threat the there biggest foe. The NCR were now the biggest remnant of Pre War America left in the Wasteland. Once they seized control over Hoover Dam they received world a mob was controlling the now functioning New York. The NCR wanted to initially call a truce and proposed a contract with Tommy to surrender the territory but Tommy declined and the NCR are threatening to use force. So now Tommy is left to make very difficult decisions, but his consigliere would give him some input aswell

2. No arguing between fellow members of the mob unless you have a problem in which you must tell me. I've seen this in other RP's and it is killing them.

3. No character controlling, your character is your responsibility you don't have to right to control someone elses.

4. Post consistently, take the New Manhattan for instance it's very active and it's participants are dedicated.

5. Good grammar and punctuation, this is a necessity in joining this roleplay. If I see flaws in your posts I will comment. Yes this is a bit harsh but using intellect in your posts is what I aspire for.

6. Roleplay your character like a proper Mafioso, otherwise this Roleplay is not for you.

7. And last but not least, enjoy yourself. We're in this to have fun and develop our characters.

Personality: Sonny is extremely loyal to those close to him. To Sonny, betrayal of anybody in his family is unthinkable. However, in the case of people who Sonny does not know he proves to be disrespectful and ruthless. He has a good sense of humour, but this occasionally gets him into trouble as he has a tendency to wind people up and doesn't know when to quit. Sonny is quite charismatic and uses this to appear friendly and warm to important people who do not belong to the Forelli.

Bio: Once a child travelling with merchants, Sonny became good friends with Tommy when he worked as an assassin for Jimmy Falcone. Sonny rose to power with Tommy and served as his advisor ever since. While ruthless Sonny values the safety of his family primarily. Sonny is called Lucky be those in his family who he is not too close with. He earned the nickname due to his skills in poker. To his friends he remains Sonny. He does not like it when anybody outside his family calls him anything other than Mr Luciano.
Sonny carries a picture of his sister who died while they were living with the travelling merchants.

Personality: Very quick to anger. If you mess with him, he'll kill you. He respects his higher upers, but feels as if he should be higher ranked. All of his underdogs are fearful of him. Alex has explosive rage, and even killed one of his men for failing a mission.

Bio: He was born in Rivet City. He ran away from abusive parents, but got caught by slavers. After two years in a slave camp, he managed to find a gun. He shot up the entire place and escaped. He escaped for New York City. After living as a bum, he met his future wife, Ann, on the street. They got married after a year. Since her father was in the mafia, Alex became a mafia soldier. After he did a very difficult mission, he got promoted.

I like the sudden interest! I'm going to post my sheet soon, but if you don't mind I'd like to know if your character is based on a real life mobster as the comparisons would prove relevant to the roleplay. My character is partially based on Charles 'Lucky' Luciano and his the ruthlessness of Al Capone. You don't have to, but it would greatly benefit me and others in the roleplay.

Bio:He was born in a Italy, but his family was poor, so he found a ship, bound to "America", he leaped onto it, the Ship was destroyed 4 miles off the coast of the "Capital Wasteland" He joined a colony called
"Rivet City" where he was arrested four times for "meeting" a prosttute. He headed north, then, he joined the Forelli Family in New York.

Also, for character development the Underboss is undecided. So basically there will be an initiation service by me at the compound, I feel just giving the Underboss rank would be unfair as whoever shows the most promise in there roleplay ability would deserve it. So if that's okay with you I'll judge who deserves to be Underboss, I also think the idea of a women being Underboss is fresh so it would really well I hope this is okay with you, but I'm trying to be as fair as I can.

My character is probably going to be a mix of Al Capone and Machine Gun Kelly,with my own, personal, touch....

Personality: Tommy is flamboyant and arrogant. His has a short temper but knows how to control a difficult situation. He is also a mastermind in criminal activity and is ruthless in his pursuit of wealth. Although married for ten years he frequently cheats on his wife and doesn't care about doing it. He was given the nickname 'Gun' because of his specialization in Sub-Machine guns and is a master at spraying his foes. Tommy's judgement is respected by all along with the other perks of controlling a criminal empire. After his mentor Jimmy Falcome had died Tommy made it his business to look after Jimmy's family, giving them large sums of caps and looked out for them. This shows Tommy's sensitive side and his appreciation of family values, but one could argue cheating on his wife goes against his softer side. But most of all Tommy is an exceptional leader with skills that not even Jimmy Falcone had shown. He shows perfection, skill and with when plotting against his foes.

Bio: Tommy Forelli born 2232 is an Italian-American Mafioso who is the leader of the Forelli crime syndicate. He grew up in New York and was the son of a merchant named Vito Forelli. Tommy was an intelligent student in school and although there was a lack of sources for him to learn from he studied hard and his academic performance was excellent. When he was twelve Tommy saw a tall, Italian man threatening another man with a gun. Tommy watched from a distance, fascinated with the man's authority and he wasn't even wearing a badge. He remembers the man's exact words when killing his foe. "Don't [censored] with the Falcone family." Tommy wanted that domineering force over someone, that intimidating presence over someone. Tommy began flunking classes, as he purposely left school to join the mob. His father realized this and promised Tommy one day he would be betrayed by them and he would regret joining them.

Tommy laughed at this and left home, from there he met James 'Jimmy' Clemenza a caporegime for the Falcone crime family. Tommy proved his Sicillian roots to James and started working for the family. This was before the electricity was reinforced so money wasn't as easily earned. Tommy began to work in racketeering and prostitution making sure the people paid the cash in full. He committed his first murder when he was nineteen against a member of a small rival mob family. He used the Thompson 1928 Sub-Machine gun and sprayed the rival member of the mob family in an array of gunfire. This caught the eye of Don Falcone and he requested to meet Tommy. Tommy dressed sharp as he prepared to meet his idol. He walked inside the compound and proceeded up to the infamous leader of the mob. Jimmy greeted Tommy as they both sat down and began drinking champagne.

Tommy and Jimmy became good friends from there and Tommy got made. Being made would mean that Tommy was officially a member of Falcone Family. Soon he was promoted to Caporegime and was a rspected general of the Forelli Family. Tommy's rise to the top began from here. He was asked to kill another made man from the Pegorino family, this was a difficult job considering the two families were at war and pulling of a hit was much more difficult due to the circumstances. Tommy grabbed a Silenced M1911 and headed to the Tops bar and restaurant where the target was dining. Tommy sat at the bar, closely watching his targets movement. Tommy went to the bathroom and loaded his pistol, he walked outside and was now behind the target. Tommy called Carlo the made man he was about to kill by the name as he turned a round. Tommy was now ready to take out the target as he shouted "This for Jimmy Falcone, you son of a [censored]." He plunged the bullet into the Made Man's skull and left the place swiftly.

Tommy returned to Jimmy with the good news and there relationship built from there. Jimmy considered Tommy to be like a son, they dined together, went to shows together and considered each other family. Tommy was promoted to Underboss at age thirty which was the second highest rank in the family. He was the one who controlled most of the business affairs and reported only to Jimmy. Jimmy's empire had expanded through all of New York as there were more people being recruited. Tommy met his wife Lisa at a bar and they fell in love instantly. Lisa didn't care about Tommy's illegitimate business dealings and love him for who he was. They eventually got married and had a son called Michael. Tommy was given permission to make his own family by Jimmy, but he said he wouldn't until Jimmy's vision of an electricity flowing New York was going to be made. Then Tommy recieved a big blow in the year 2292.

Jimmy was attending a business dealing with Don Gambetti the don of the Gambetti crime family that was back east. Jimmy was set up and was assassinated by the up and coming Gambetti family. Tommy was deeply affected by this and began to drink excessively trying to overcome the pain of losing to him what he considered a father figure. Tommy bulked up and took control of the Falcone Family and turned it into the Forelli family as he expanded on Jimmy's vision. He hired two former Enclave scientists who fixed the reactor that sent a surge of electricity through New York as the Casino's were drawing money again. It was now the year 2278 and Tommy was preparing for war with the Gambetti's as he was trying to decide who would become his underboss. He was going to decide soon, but he had to deal with the NCR trying to take New York from him aswell. Tommy was now planning to take out the Gambetti's and somehow resolve the broken down negotiations between them and the NCR.

Would the consigliere be placed lower than the underboss in this RP?

Well considering we're basing it off the original Mafia yes it would, but in my opinion the Consigliere in this RP is more significant as he is my advisor where as the Underboss is my general when it comes to conflict with other familes.
