The road to Shor's Stone is paved with Sabrecats

Post » Tue Jan 21, 2014 1:23 pm

Hi

Just accepted side quest to kill wolf at Filnjar's house but every route I take towards SS seems to be infested with Sabrecats and I'm dead in the water.

Should I deactivate this quest until I level up a bit more? (level 9).

If it helps , the latest route took me past Mistwatch Tower which I managed to liberate then got mutilated by two of these mothers.

Regards

Simon

There should be more bears than sabrecats around there. You are using a mod that changes that I suppose. You don't mention on what platform you play anyway.

That's a mod at work right there Sir.
Shor's Stone and the surrounding Rift is Bear Central.

That's where we lost McDonald and Charlie don't surf.

I usually see at least 3-4 Cave Bears whenever I travel to Shor's Stone from Riften, if I head to the east of the Fort.

So, bears it is then? Well, do not confront them, run and sprint to escape them.

No Sir. Save up 1000 gold. Get yourself a pony and not one blinking, fly-blown bear claw will land on you.

There are stables outside the five walled cities.

Have you tried following the road from Riften through Fort Greenwall to Shor's Stone ? There are bandits in there but you should be alright if you run through without stopping. There might be spiders or wolves close to the road past the fort.

Move *around* them - if you get closer, even if you're not going to attack, they'll react.

Man, these wild animals can be a pain for low levels. I'd recommend to bring a follower with you, or try again when you're stronger

Cats are the absolute worst. I would suggest skirting around them or coming from an opposite direction.

I take it you don't happen to have a Calm spell available? Or can summon an aid? Followers?

Hm actually bears are a bit more frequent when you're nearer the Rift. Before using the road behind Helgen to get to the Rift, I always used to go the long way starting through Valtheim toll and continuing to the Eastmarch.

Cats are much worse if you play as a cloth mage, lol. They could one hit me, haha.

M'aiq suggests having a follow be with you to help you.

---

M'aiq never finds any bears or sabre cats along those paths. He only finds many dragons. :/
