[REL] The Sable Dragon

Post » Thu Aug 12, 2010 3:55 pm

I just installed this mod and briefly tested it and I have two quick questions. When I first entered the main room of the Inn, over in a corner there was a female NPC, I can't recall her name, something like "Soda", who was literally glowing. That seems like an error. Also, over on a window ledge I noticed a very ornate looking silver wrapped globe. It seemed like I should've been able to select it or interact with it in some way but I couldn't. Is this correct?

Soma ;)
Her Race is the http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7182 If she appears to be glowing to an unsightly degree, it's probably your in-game Gamma Settings are too high or your monitor is very bright.
She appears http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/fms/Image.php?id=78861 under average Gamma lighting and on my monitor.

Silver wrapped globe?? I have no idea what you mean. sorry.
It's been awhile, so some of the details have slipped my memory. Describe it more clearly, or take a screenshot, because I can't recall what it might be. :P

edit: was it http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o90/plutocruel/untitled5y457.jpg?t=1264648416 That's just a vase to look pretty. Ceylon actually bought that from a mysterious Khajiit in Cheydinhal who had 6 fingers on each hand (or is it paw?) .... but anyways.

It was indeed that :) Thanks.

Oh and I went back into the game and looked at that Ice Siren while adjusting my gamma settings and her skin glow didn't change. Oh well, not a big deal really, it wasn't too jarring.

It might be your monitor brightness, but different computers do different things. As she mentions in her 'Background', not much is known about her, so it's not my fault she misbehaves. :P

But I'm glad I was able to answer your questions.

Have fun. :)

I just checked the stats on PES... and was surprised!
Over 1200 downloads!
Last time I checked it was 950.

Thanks to everyone who has enjoyed it, and for all the support and help when I needed it.

I do have something even better in the making. A full MQ partly inspired by Alice in Wonderland (but still basically lore friendly)
Unfortunately, it has been (and will continue to be) a long time in the making, especially since I'm about to travel for a few months.

Anyways, just a bump and a Thank-You to everyone. :)

p.s. Just a reminder that for anyone with quest questions that would normally require my help, the Online Guide can be found http://pluto.fliggerty.com/

Ok, HELP! I think I've done most of the quests at the inn, but I checked your help site and I seem to be missing a couple and have NO clue what's up with them. 1 - All that stuff about Algernon and the stuff you are supposed to do with that. No clue at all how that even starts, who I have to talk to, etc, etc. 2 - Boognish. ????? Huh? Who? What? How? I know where, but can't get in lol :D Help please. I LOVE this mod, it's my favorite so far and I've had the time of my life. Please help! Also, I thought I'd found some rare wine for Nacht, but got no response from him, is what he wants somewhere in the two quests I haven't a clue too?

Sorry it took so long to reply. :)

The quest involving Algernon starts at the Saturnalia Hideout (the quest for Deimos will take you there)
Spoiler
After you kill Skoll, go back upstairs and a female Dunmer will have appeared, she will ask for help and you will have to travel to Mournhold.

The quest that has to do with finding Boognish doesn't begin at the Inn either, but by speaking with
Spoiler
someone inside Algernon's house (search carefully, he's hidden well)

The door Boognish is behind will remain sealed until you've started that quest.

Nacht wants you to buy him a special drink from the bartender. He also will accept one other liquid from you. But from what you said, I know you haven't found it yet.

I like it too.
... But since I talked to Ugnaark gro-Nagorm just every NPC in the game has the topic "Gladiator" in his dialog.
Is this a known issue?

That topic is not added by my mod.
Looks like another mod that adds it could use some better filtering for the "gladiator" topic.

Could it be the 'Welcome to the Arena 4.0' mod who has this topic ?

I don't have Welcome to the Arena in my game (yet). Endrek's Gladiator is the most likely culprit...

Ok first post to the forum, and I'd like to say this mod is by far one of the best I have ever played. I'm usually not very social on forums because I am so busy, but I have a question. I can not seem to find the umbrella, I feel silly for this, but I have been all around where it was fore mentioned to be, but can not find it? Please help?

Also just for reference I run both The Sable Dragon, and Welcome to the Arena. I have found no conflicts with them.

If you speak with Eldrilu Dalen at the Vos Temple, and boost her disposition a bit, she will tell you that
Spoiler
she forgot the umbrella up the hill to the west, beside Tel Vos. The umbrella is leaning against the outside NW wall of Tel Vos.

And thanks, I'm glad you enjoy it. :)

Ok thank you. I already talked to that person, just couldn't find it along where it was. Also I wanted to point out a possible bug, I use the Ring of Weightless touch so I don't have to deal with carrying capacities, and I never put any of the quest items down. Well I got the blood from the inn, but it just poofed out of my inventory? Could you tell me what to type in on the console to get it back? I've never used the console before.

That's odd. The icon for the vial looks just like a red clay flask, so you might have misplaced it?
I am not anywhere near a computer that has Morrowind or the Construction Set installed, so I can't check the ID for you, but hopefully someone who does have it installed will see this and help you.

i really like this mod it's a great addition. i did notice that there is a minor conflict with The Lost Artifacts of Morrowind and getting the Ghost gate jem it only occurs if you have gotten the (merues(sp?)) Shield before you get the jem, LA sets her to a forced goodbye. i had to console my self the jem. but again great mod it's found a home in my game!

Yes, I can help you with that. Press the button just below *ESC* to have the console active and type this.
Spoiler
player->additem man_satflask_blood 1

You should have it in your inventory along with the soul gems, lockpicks, probes and repair hammers and the name is "Flask of Blood" I think. Good luck. :talk:
