The Saving Grace of St. Garridan

NOTE" This story was written around 2 years ago by me on my facebook page before the release (or announcment) of "The Infernal City"

It was a time of peace after the "Oblivion Crisis". Tamriel was left without an Emporer, but the land would come to love the interim rule of Chancelor Ocato. He was a great man: he was smart, kind, and had a far reaching political influence on the entire land.
One day during his rule, a beautiful Dunmeri princess by the name of Mischali, was traveling on a path to the city of Anvil. She was on her way to hear the preachings of a man in the city. The preacher was teaching of a menace named Umaril the Unfeathered. This menace, apparently, threatened Tamriel once more after a thousand years of silence. While on the road, Mischali's caravan was beginning to pass a location known as Boggo Road Cave.

They began to grow ever closer to the opening of this cave, when they were attacked by a group of unruly bandits. With her entourage disabled, the princess ran for the relative saftey of the cave. Inside, she was cornered by one of the bandits. Just as he raised his mace to strike her, a goblin leaped from the darkness. The goblin trampled the bandit, and a ferocious fight ensued. The goblin would defeat this bandit, but at a high cost. A violent last swing of the mace caught the goblin in the solarplexes of his chest, and he fell to the ground.

Mischali ran to the aid of her savior. As she began to weap, so did the goblin. She could see the fear in his eyes, as he was ready to take the eternal slumber. She removed a small crystal from her person, and began to raise it above the goblin's wound. The crystal was one of St. Garridan's tears, and it was rumored to have impecable healing properties. She shattered the crystal, and with a wave of her hand, covered the goblin's wounds with the dust of the tear.
The goblin began to whelp, and fell silent for many moments. Suddenly, with his wounds fully healed, the goblin stood and looked at the princess with piercing eyes. "Thank you, my lady", the goblin said. It was the first time in recorded history that a goblin spoke so strongly but eloquently. The crystal had breathed new life into the goblin, and as he walked away from Mischali, she would follow.

Over the next several years the goblin, who would name himself Trinimor, would preach to his brothers and sisters. He spoke of peace and tranquility. His influence on the goblin nation would prove a miracle, as they would seek asimilation with the other Imperial races.

Many years later, as the princess would take her final breaths, Trinimor would use his diplomacy to negotiate with the Count and Countess of Anvil. They would become a major part of Imperial society, leading a revolution in commerce and becoming prized warriors and shamans of the empire. They would come to be called Gosimer- or the Lost Brothers.

EDIT: Please feel free to add comments and/or criticism. I've grown a lot since this was written, but I've never heard much feedback on this particular tale.
