The Sayings of Maiq the Liar

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 6:26 am

Ok good, now we seem to be making more M'aiq "quotes", and not arguing as much.

"M'aiq wishes to that others could know of his spectacular adventures, M'aiq has many of them."

Its not the best, but its about how in Oblivion, people would always knows what you did after you did it.
For example, when you beat the Main Quest, people always talk about the Daedric invasion being over.
What I mean is that if you beat the main quest, people would get certain dialogue, but if you went to a town and slaughtered half of the people, everybody would act as if nothing happened.

I know it would be very difficult to do that.

Spoiler
The DB quest Whodunit does this on a smaller scale.

"M'aiq hears that the Dark Brotherhood has put a bounty on his head for one million septims! I've had my fair share of assassination attempts, although none have been successful.

"The Imperial soldiers in Cyrodiil dress rather poorly, do they not? M'Aiq once was going to join the Imperial Legion, just for the fancy equipment. But no more."

"M'aiq the Liar misses being able to fly in the air with the birds. Speaking of birds, M'aiq the Liar wonders what happened to them.."
A reference to being unable to levitate in Oblivon, and the lack of Birds as well.

A. Political intrigue was planned in Oblivion and taken out over concerns that it was too complex.

I heard it was cut so they could put more effort into the Oblivion invasion.

Were there any games with birds, anyway? Maybe Redguard had seagulls, but that's http://morrowindphotography.com/images/abrodhead/cliffracerswarm.jpg.

"While M'aiq the Liar enjoys his new shoes, he cannot help but feel less special"
Reference to the Beast races being able to wear footwear in Oblivion as Opposed in Morrowind.

"Maiq loves his shoes. Maiq remembers when was forced to walk all over Vvardenfel bare-footed. Maiq's feet are still scarred

,,M'aiq heard that people complain that its too easy to travel those days. There's nothing stopping them from just walking where they want or dropping the money to feal some wierd kind of satisfaction. Actually, M'aiq thinks leaveng him the money would be the best solution :)''

About people complaining about fast-travel.

,,M'aiq thinks trains dont fit in our time. Boats and cannons, sure, but trains are just wierd.''

Not a Oblivion referance. Cookie to whatever figure out what game it is :)

"M'aiq has heard that the gods have joined forces with the inhabitants of a strange place called Mars. M'aiq has heard strange tales from this place. One is of a terrible weapon called a chiansaw. M'aiq hopes that it never comes to Tamriel for the Daedra already have enough toys."
