The Secrets of the Frost

(A Skyrim Survival Role Play)

(from the makers of "Descent into Juggernaut")

Professional treasure hunter Gaius Wolf-Bane was recently hired to perform a rather special feat; to recover an artifact from the fabled and ancient Dwemer City of Aftland. No one man can perform this mission, but luckily Gaius has many friends, friends who share his passion for adventure, and his passion for treasure. Seeking help, Gaius sent letters to many of his old friends asking for help on his mission, promising a share of the loot, as the Lost City of Aftland was sure to have more than its fair share of shiny objects and valuable treasures.

However, Gaius has never previously adventured in Skyrim, and while he is brave, and he is strong, he has no idea what he has gotten himself into.

Skyrim is cruel, and unforgiving. At night, frigid arctic winds tear across the countryside, freezing the blood in your veins. Snowstorms can form at any moment, and can tear the skin from the bone. And even if you somehow survive the cold, and the frost, and the snow, a wrong step can still send you into a freezing cold river, or off the side of a ravine.

And then there are the endless ice fields of Winterhold. The cold northern winds scream across the vast plains of ice. Even the bravest and strongest of nords fear to go that far north.

Death is always just around the corner in Skyrim, but so is incredible bounty. The ruins of Aftland have yet to be tapped by treasure hunters because of its remote and dangerous location. The allure is great, and many missions have attempted to be the first to survive Aftland. Many camps litter the snow around Aftland, all abandoned. Frozen corpses and snow covered tents are all that remain of those foolhardy enough to tempt its doom.

Aftland is so dangerous that it has gained its own name amongst the hardy, fearless people of Skyrim: The Tomb.

It is late Fall in Skyrim, in the year 4E 201, the first snows have already fallen, and the Dragons roam the skies. Gaius awaits the few brave souls who answered his call in the Candlehearth Inn in the Old City of Windhelm.

Rules
1. The GMs are the bosses
2. Use the OOC thread to talk about the RP.
3. You’re not god your character will get hurt.
3. No arguments between each other.
4. Romance is fine. But as we’re underground trying to survive and find treasure I don’t see much happening other than flirting.
5. You can't control another person's character unless given permission.
6. Be realistic with your character.
7. Try to get in a min 3 sentences per post.
8. Don't cause trouble.
9. Have Fun.
10. Try to post in at least three times a week
11. Try not to follow game mechanics. By this, I mean no instant-heal potions or spells and whatnot.
12. If you have to leave the RP 1 let us know and 2 post a last post your character otherwise we'll take control of them and do as we see fit with them. Which in this case would mean their death.

Armor/Clothing – He wears leather armour and has a gray cloak with hood.
Personality – A grim fellow only his friends see his other side, which can still be grim. It takes a lot to get his trust but once earned he'll be by your side no matter what.

History – Born in Chorrol Gaius was destined to become a high-born noble like his parents, but fate intervened in the form of the Great War against the Aldmeri Dominion. But Gaius wasn't interested in fighting a war in the name of some Emperor he never met, so he deserted during the midst of battle and headed off to find fortune and glory. He tried his luck as an adventurer and became well known in both High Rock and Hammerfell, it was during this time that he met Aengot Pegaro, who had similar interests as he did, and the pair teamed up to scour the land of treasures. Together they were unstoppable, no treasure was unreachable no danger unbeatable. They eventually went their separate ways and Gaius continued earning the friendships of many other adventurers over the years.
Now Gaius has been contracted with something interesting, a client wants a special artifact which lies deep inside Blackreach, but this contract is too dangerous for one man alone. Gaius has made many friends and surely they would help.
