The Septims or The Medes.

Let's have a civil debate about who is the overall, better dynasty.

The Septims

While the Empire in the Third Era was constantly shifting between stability or instability, it had it's fair share of good Emperors. And it's last Emperor, Uriel Septim, was arguably one of the greatest of them all, next to Tiber Septim himself. Also, it was unliekly for any Septim to outlaw the worship of their ancestor. So I personally believe that The Septim dynasty was, in general, better for Cyrodiil.

The Medes.

We only know of two of the Emperors in this dynasty, Titus I and Titus II. But given with what happened to Cyrodiil and it's remaining provinces, It seemed that The Empire was slowly going to Hell from Titus I to Titus II. While the earlier Medes were good tacticiand and manage to reunite The Empire. (As well as made some minor improvements.) They do not seem to be that good of administators.

And another question. Which Dynasty is more popular in Cyrodiil? The Septims or Medes?

I don't think this is close at all. It's like comparing Augustus to.. er Titus? No but really.. the legacy of Tiber, Uriel and Martin is hard to top.

I also like The Septims more. I just want to see if there's someone here that supports The Mede, and gives good reason why.

Septims because they actually did things the right way and wouldn't have allowed the Thalmor to go as far as they did.

I can Imagine some Septims beating the crap out of any Altmer that threats them to outlaw their ancestor's worship... (Though it's possible but unlikely that a few of them could just accept the deal.)

This is an unfair contest. The Septims have ruled Tamriel for hundreds of years, while the Medes have only been there for 200 years following the cataclysm that was the Oblivion Crisis.

I think a fairer comparison would be the Renan Dynasty versus the Septims. The Meads, as we know them, recently seized power and are portrayed as weak in Skyrim, the only bias we have to go from ( I haven't read the books). So, until the Mead Dynasty is finished or has several more members, the Septims and their ascended God as festive Talos will remain number one.
