the serria madre is a real place?

when i found the SM snowglobe i remember hearing that all the snowglobes are of places in RL.......i dident think this 1 snowglobe wasent true.......so i googled it a found this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SierraMadreVillaHotel-1884.jpg

in the pic u can see a tower that looks like the 1 that triggered the gala event & the building style looks exactly like the style in the game
