Yeah... back to the settlements topic, If nuclear war broke out I'll hide in my parents basemant, it has a gun cabinet and is also a wine cellar so I'll be pretty set for Armageddon :hubbahubba: , plus I live in the middle of nowhere so it's not as though I'd get caught in a blast.

I think I'd be pretty set for an apocalypse. There's a gunshop three blocks away, I live in a small neighborhood on a hill so that'd be easy to protect against any looters.

Plus my best friend who's also my neighbor is pretty freaked out about North Korea and has enough canned food in his cellar to feed a small family for a decade, or feed a large family for eight years.

Plus I live in the middle of nowhere (the closest big target is New York City which is over one hundred fifty miles away) so I don't think somebodied drop a nuke on my town unless they're stupid or are trying to bomb the entire country.

Maybe since I live closed to a potential ground zero I think about this a lot, but is there any reason why a major city or landmark near you might not get hit in the situation of a nuclear war? I like to think that Oak Ridge would dump their load and even a direct hit would not spread to Knoxville. Otherwise, it would be Chernobyl x10.
