Actually it is my friend several of us run the channel and he asked me to post it somewhere, I was unaware any rules were set against sharing videos.

It's right there in the forum rules. Which is why they're there. You read them.

It's not that sharing is a violation. It's the part that people advertise their own channel. The origin of the video is irrelevant.

It is however, allowed to be shown in your sig.

Ahh, alright. Well I'm not trying to advertise it, simply sharing an idea he had that I thought to be interesting and something that people could talk about.

You're allowed to include links to videos and such in your forum signature, but posts specifically advertising these are not allowed.
