So now that we know Three Dog will not be returning, will their be a radio/dj quite as charming & enjoyable? Did Bethesda replace this talent with one (supposedly) more charismatic or did they do away with an airwaves host altogether?

I sure hope there is no more bumbling rambling idiot such as Three Dog. Way too over the top. I do hope there is a radio DJ that we can actually interact with..... still waiting to meet Wayne Newton in New Vegas.
I must admit I at first wasn't a huge fan of him but after awhile he grew on me. Upon my second play through, I was a fan! Anyways, hope he comes back in one of the DLC, possibly as a refugee from the D.C. wasteland. Here's to hoping !
Three Dog was awful and he did not grow on me. If they have a newscaster hopefully it's someone more chill and less howly. Maybe a woman.
I wouldn't expect to see Three Dog again. I suspect that the voice actor burned his bridges with Bethesda when he made that tweet about the possibility of Three Dog returning while Fallout 4 was still under wraps.
The answer to your question is a resounding...How should we know?
The only sound from the Pip I've heard to date is Atom Bomb Baby.
They listed someone for the DJ on the games IMDB page, and it's not Three Dog, that much we know.
But until Bethesda confirms it, we can't know for sure if that DJ actor will actually be in Fallout 4.
I wasn't a fan of 3dog to be honest, I was relieved when I discovered he wasn't to make a come back. If we are to have a DJ in F4 lets have some new blood playing the part, which would only make sense as we are no longer in Washington DC.
huahuhauaua......oh wait, you′re serious.
I give them the benefit of the doubt. Another game, another DJ. New Vegas had Dean Martin as the DJ so that was cause for hype.
I can never tell those two apart on the best of days.
Yeah, both scream 'Vegas!'. But, Wayne Newton hasn't been dead for 20 years.
...
Yeah that's right huh?
But in my defense, if it's not Sinatra, Bing Crosby or Sammy Davis Jr all those Rat Pack type crooners kinda come off the same to me.
"Charming and enjoyable" is not how I would describe Three Dog.
"Annoying and killable," would be better.
Geez! Poor Three Dog. No love from Boston! Must be a "I'm sick of playing Fallout 3 for the 50th time, 5000 hours in" sorta thing?
... Or not.
Yeh i did not enjoy Three Dog. The Voice actor put down a very convincing particular brand of radio caster, a brand i just happen to really not enjoy.
My pip boy was silent, no music or radio to attract cazadors towards me. No sir, none of that.
Technically that was Wayne Newton sharing Cazador love in New Vegas but I digress. Point taken.
I hated three dog for ruining the game with spoilers!
*walks out of vault 101, turns on radio.*
"Hello wasteland...... its 3dog. Its been 3 months since the kid from 101 brought fresh water to the wasteland..........." Eh ........ wait what, i just escaped, did i time travel or something.
My first playthrough was ruined by him for telling me the key plot points ahead of me actualy doing them, and yes i aint kidding, he realy did talk about activating the purifier once even before i reach DC to fix his damn dish.
I never liked him from the get-go. He was way to over-the-top and his character was written with a vastly inflated sense of importance. Claiming to be "fighting the good fight" and then forcing a 19 year old who lost his dad to track through one of the most dangerous parts of the city just so he can boost his signal is one of the most under-handed things done to the PC in Fallout 3. And makes his entire persona seem disingenuous.
I blew his head off about halfway into the game. Never really understood how people actually liked him as a character.
