On the Shape of Pyanondea

For years, maps of Nirn have appeared containing a Pyandonea in this ‘classic’ shape. ArthmodeusD, the creator of the http://i61.tinypic.com/2q9ympw.jpg of Pyandonea in such a shape, claims to have been working off of the Daggerfall globe. http://tinypic.com/r/2hy9xn4/8 is a screenshot of the relevant continent on the aforementioned globe and, while the shape is certainly unclear, the viewer can tell that is does not look quite how it has been drawn. Erasing the shades of blue from this produces http://tinypic.com/r/20uxu29/8. I’m not the most artistically inclined, but five minutes drawing on a word processor using these pixels led me to some this that looks http://tinypic.com/r/nbabv5/8. Thoughts? Better interpretations?

Makes sense. I can't really see the Maormer living on a big flippin' island. A bunch of little ones definitely looks better.
