In the trailer we saw a ship (forgot his name) with engines on it.
What do you think it's for ?
Is it a gang house or a battleship or maybe something completly diffrent ?

You mean USS Constitution? Who knows, we don't know who, why, or when someone decided to strap rocket engines to it in Falloutverse. My intial thoughs were that this can serve as a Rivet city of FO4 but two city-ships in consequitve games is unlikely. I wonder if we will have to use it to fly somewhere, mayber crash in to the blimp( I doubt that) or maybe we will have to blow up engines for some quest.
As I said this is a real ship, except in RL it doesn't have rockets( at least that is official version , damn Enclave and their secrets). you can check the internet about it maybe you will find some hint on what purpose it might serve in Fallout 4 , other then being a landmark,
Probably gonna be used in an air-battle with the zeppelin.
I dont know, maybe a crazy cult like the Hubologist in Fallout 2 is or was trying to use her to leave the wasteland behind.
Well I assume its flown before, unless its usually sitting on to top of a ruined bank in RL.
I'd question how such an old ship (add on another 200 years and surviving a nuclear war) could be stable enough to be turned into an airship, but this is fallout so.......whatever floats their airship.
When I first saw the trailer, I thought it was some sort of novelty family seafood restaurant.
Yeah i think you can see an entrance under the ship but im not sure.
might be a quest along the lines of the one with the b52 in the lake from fnv
like, get historical ship that stands for blah blah blah from some battle ground to a safe place, figure out how to move it since it's inoperational, find rocket store...
:-)
edit: ...just read the post about it maybe going into battle against zeppelin - this would fit the above quite well: get the ship from safe place to battle ground, instead of the other way around
About 1:39 in the trailer, does it look like something is on the front of the ship to you? Looks like another engine or (really stretching here) a nuke?
Also the fact that it doesn't really look like it's in harbor makes me think it has moved with the rockets before.
You call ships, her, and I think it had just crashed there and will be locked in place. 200+ years would make an already 250 year-old ship like that fall into pieces. Maybe it's been steel reinforced like practically every other monument.
more fragile than a b52 lying on the bottom of lake for 200y? :_)
Probably, but is it a working ship or just a building made to look like this ship ?

Obvious reason is obvious.
Yeah....
...about that, if you pay attention under that ship, there is an entrance of rubble (of course) and it said's BANK it might be a long stretch to assume that it might be a bank ship or maybe something to do with something like that, but yeah.
Oh God I hope not. What next the crew are wannabe pirates?
I was very perplexed by that ship. My hope is that the people before the war put rockets on it to make it more interesting. I mean it was 2077, why would people go and see an old ship? "No one is interested in things if it doesn't have rockets on it!"
It's still my hope that those thrusters are post war, because they are attempting to put it in the water, ultimately.
Styles they would go see it, not for rockets, but because Old Ironsides is a museum and a piece of this country's early history. Gotta think there were a lot of patriots in the pre-war times.
It's so I can win my bet with that one guy about how they're there for "rule of kewl" reasons and serve no logical purpose or function, then I'll win a free copy of FO4.
Gut Feeling, it's a city much like Rivet City was.
