The Sirens deception quest's bug

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:20 am

I don't know what's up with this quest in Anvil, I can't seem to get it done no matter what.
I have arrived at Faustina and Signy's house in the farm at 11.00pm as requested and got in. There I've found Faustina, she greets me and says to leave all my clothes. Well, I tried everything, to undress completely, not to undress, wait for hours, but no matter what, Signy doesn't show up. I stay there with Faustina alone, of course if I try to hit here she fights me back and I can kill her but this is not the way this quest is supposed to be brought to an end. So, what's up with it? Why doesn't Signy show up? What am I supposed to do? Is it a bug of the XBOX 360's version? It's frustrating.

Does this sounds like the problem you are having?
Another glitch renders the quest unbeatable. Essentially, when you talk to Faustina, there will be no options for you to take other than to cancel the conversation, and even then, if you kill her, you can't exit the farmhouse so you will be trapped there forever -quote from the UESP.

There is supposed to be a dialogue option to refuse to remove your clothes causing them to attack. Apparently there is a bug that stops this option from appearing and there is no way around this unfortunately. You can check the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The_Sirens_Deception page for other bugs if that is not the one you are experiencing.

Yes, that's exaclty what happens. I'm amazed that such a well known bug has not been fixed in all these years, after all even the 360 can download patches. Anyway, at least now I know there's no way to work around that. I have a save game before the farm's door. I'll leave the house with the quest unfinished....

Thank you so much.
