The Skyrim logo, is the Akavir Banner ?

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2009 10:00 pm

however, akavir is also known as the dragon land. by looking at to the skyrim teaser, their are dragons attacking skyrim, and the akavir banner looks exactly the same as the skyrim logo. so yes, most likely their will be akavir influence

They are very connected, Tosk Raka leader of the Ka Po' Tun (Tiger-like people) of the Akavir continent, was the first to be able to turn into a dragon (the dragons were extinct at the time thanks to the very destructive war between the Ka Po' Tun and the Tsaesci), and his plan was to kill the Tsaesci and to invade Tamriel...

And the logo is not the Tiber Empire Logo is the Empire Logo (Duh!!), what I mean is that Reman Cyrodiil was the forger of the empire, not a Septim, and from his alliance with the Tsaesci The Blades were born, and there are rumors that the logo of the empire was an old Akavir simbol....

Mysterious Akavir is probably the most unreliable source on Akavir we have. The best source would probably be histories dealing with Akaviri invasions of Tamriel and the potentates, and the book Disaster of Ionith.

The Akaviri banner is in lots of elements of the series. Doesn't mean they're involved in any way.

Why do people fail to understand that the logo is the symbol of the empire. It has been in every elder scrolls game made. Its missing the diamond on the top and a portion of the bottom part of the right wing. Its symbolizes a fractured empire nothing more. Is it possible it has a dual purpose sure. But that would just be wild speculation. Based on the lore and past games. Its the imperial symbol case closed.

Also, everyone should look up what appears on imperial coinage. You might be surprised if you think that the logo is for akavir.

That doesn't necessarily mean Akavir will be involved, but I still think they will be involved. They have been defeated in the past, they are known for dragons (Tosh Raka in particular), and they have had since the Reman dynasty to fade into myth.

You are all acting like the dragons are for sure attacking Skyrim. Nobody knows the plot/lore behind the game yet, so anything right now is just wild speculation.

Dragons have been inhabitants of Tamriel for quite some time. Cyrus killed the Dragon Naafililargus, who served in the armies of Tiber Septim himself. Cliffracers drove the dragons out of Morrowind. There's been dragons in Tamriel for a while.

True, but we also have the Remadama, a book that was introduced in Oblivion, which is another allegorical story I know, but, from a game designer's or writer's point of view is a very simple way of laying the bases for your (next) game/story, and we know that they've been making Skyrim since the release of Oblivion and that is just designing the game, for all we know the main story for Skyrim may have been made back to back with the one in Oblivion

Does it say that dragons are invading? maybe someone or something else is invading and dragons have something else to do with it.

Anyway, I don't think that the logo indicated it for certain, but it is not unreasonable to think that Akavir has something to do with it. I hope not though, I like Akavir remaining as the entity of mystery.

There's a reason why they're called teasers. They don't reveal much. For all you know, any other race might be invading. Unlikely, but I'm making my point.

You should have acted.
They're already here.
The Elder Scrolls told of their return.
Their defeat was merely a delay

Look at ''Their Defeat was merely a delay''

Wasn't the Akavir defeated and pushed back from Tamriel, a hint that their returning ?

So? Dagoth Ur and the 6th House was also defeated in Morrowind. Mehrunes Dagon and his daedra were defeated in Oblivion. You don't know what the Elder Scrolls are talking about. So what's your point?

this other race must be helping the dragons, dovahkiin the dragonborn was defending himself against a dragon looking at the skyrim teaser, so do you think dovahkiin is tiber septim? or a new dragonborn related to the septims?

Dragon born, I'd say is a reincarnation of Tiber Septim. Similar to the Nerevarine.

They've used that banner a lot in the past few games. It's sort of become the elder scrolls logo. It's also on the cover of Morrowind.

There are [censored] dragons in Tamriel, it just that we have yet to see them since Redguard, presumably because they are in hiding, and the emperors haven't called them for aid since Tiber Septim.

And Akavir only have 1 dragon. 1. Tok Rasha.

As for those who are wondering what the dragonborn is, it's the line of Alessia, not Tiber. The line of Alessia went: Alessia --> Reman --> Tiber, all three of whom started the three empires. This fourth is most likely going to be the 4th of the line of Alessia.

But Tiber ascended to godhood. Alessia just became a saint.

Alessia is Cyrodiil! Alessia was the first dragonborn, the one who received the covenant from Akatosh. And Reman became the second after he was birthed from mother Cyrodiil, who is Alessia, after Hrol made love unto a hillock. Tiber was the third, reread his history as to why he's the third. His ascension has nothing to do with being the dragonborn.

Well, Tiber is the most well known of the Dragonborn. I honestly don't care as long as the PC is the hero, not some random NPC that depends on the PC *cough* Oblivion *cough*

Exactly. I liked the Nerevarine better than Champ o' Cyrodiil, mainly because he didn't have to babysit Empr'r Septim's "son"

yeah, i expect that the skyrim main quest will make the pc the hero, id rather be the villain in the main quest, but i doubt bethesda will ever do that
