The Snow Prince

I've been thinking about the Dwemer, actually. How difficult would it be, I'm wondering, to reverse their endeavor? To invert the magic by which they were absorbed into Numidium?

Never going to happen, of course. But an interesting consideration, in my opinion.

Nope, wanting the falmer too return is like wanting the dwemer too return, never ever happening.

Well, the Falmer returning isn't as far fetched. Since the Falmer are here, just messed up. I find it very unlikely that the entire race was turned into that. Atleast a few had to survive, or perhaps can be cured? Dunno, just tossin' out ideas until Sims 3 gets done downloading through Steam xD Just out of curiosity, Cider, what race do you play as on your main?

Well the thing is, you're thinking of two different Dwemer societies the dwemer that were in the Numidium were the ones found in Hammerfell, the ones in skyrim and morrowind died when Nerevar struck the heart. The reason it effected the entire race was because each dwemer was linked telepathically through the dreamsleeve. ((not sure about the dreamsleeve part though.))

Well the Falmer in skyrim are different, they are the descendants, not the originals that were first corrupted by the dwemer so even if they came back the only thing they'd know is savagery. Also I usually play any race I feel like but my favorite to play with are Dunmer, they are my favorite race in the TES universe xD

Nope. Numidium was in Morrowind. And the Calling wasn't telepathy, it was radio communication.

Oh right I forgot the Numidium was a gift to Talos as a peace offering xD thank you for the correction.

It could be possible but the thing is, they won't because it'll ruin the mystery of them thats what makes people want them, they are pretty much the most mysterious race in tamriel despite their ruins being nearly everywhere in Morrowind and parts of skyrim.

I'd say the pure blooded Snow Elves wouldn't view the Falmer as kin. So, that'd be all that was left of Snow Elves. If nothing else, I'll get to see what one looks like, besides that statue! haha
Maybe a new race in ES:VI? =p

Snow elves are the Falmer,
They didn't turn INTO the Falmer, they were called that before and after the transformation. The Falmer aren't brain dead aggressors. They're still as intelligent as they've ever been. Simply not too taken by outsiders.

How sure are we that the file name isn't just for someone's dialogue -about- the snow prince? Perhaps this guy, who believes himself partly related to the ancient falmer, will return? http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Bloodmoon:Athellor

I was thinking the same to be honest.
It's probably just a bunch of dialogue similar to the story Enthir from the college of Winterhold told us during the thieves guild questline.

Don't get me wrong, I'd really like to see decent Falmer DLC, it's actually the one thing I really want to see, but it'd be too good to be true. Bethesda went out of their way to portray the Falmer as hostile creatures who are too far gone to ever be redeemed.

And if it isn't just a bunch of dialogue, this here:
AnimationsDLC01Chair_SnowElfPrinceFireBall.HKX
and this one:
Animations[b]DLC01SnowElfPrinceAscensionBurning.HKX

make me suspect, that we have to attack the Falmer or the Falmer attacks us.

I wouldn't put it past Bethesda at this point, if they make us kill Falmer again instead of giving us an interesting storyline involving them.

Some NPC will probably ask us to go to Blackreach and the Snow Prince in a chair is actually the high level Falmer who was perched on that throne like chair in the city down there. We kill him, loot an item and report back to the NPC, who thanks us repeatedly for saving the day, quest over. I could really see that happening.

My guess is that some NPC becomes revered by the Falmer and he either is there willingly or there against his will. It's then your job to go save/kill him. It's not the first time that Bethesda has had a storyline like this.

Non-feral Falmer? Yes please. Really anything that gives us more information on the Falmer is great in my book.

EDIT: The cynical bastard in me says that if they're are any non-feral Falmer left, they'll either be http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ForTheEvulz or http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AlwaysLawfulGood.

I really hope this doesn't happen, but I seriously think it will.

The story line will consist of "Kill ALL the Falmers!" and completely ignore all current lore regarding the race, or it will be fetching information about falmer for a mage.

I don't mind doing field research, but if there are actually untainted falmer, they have to die. Why? Because mer are a blight upon the land.

One: not sure if you're joking about the mer thing but you should categorize one race because of a few bad eggs, after all the humans in the TES series aren't really that much better
Two: Untainted falmer? after over 5000 years? Nope don't think so.

Well I've actually met people who've played TES games and are racist towards elves, as stupid as it may sound.

I always thought he wanted to give them the honor of being slain by an aspect of Khorne.

No, no. It's all Hellmouth trying to come to terms with his feeling for his pointy eared lovers.
