Ghouls can't be "cured" and some would probably be offended by the idea of being "cured" due to 200 years of being connected with that.
Given you have a fairly nice (if tiny) house in a time of bread riots and civil war, you're probably a rather sheltered rich [censored] too.
And yet still making statements as facts when you haven't shown any to support your opinion on the matter as of yet.
And, ummm, there's nothing irrelevant about it, you made a comment that it's extremely unlikely the pc is over 40, I asked how so. I also asked where's the proof, yet you have shown none so far.
The protagonist will actually be over 200 years old.
Here in the US, we have LOTS of combat vets in their 20's........ and yes, that would be early 20's as well.
235, actually, but only once the tutorial is over. Pre-war, the pc's age is anyone's guess at this point.
just stick with ghouls and you're all on the unweird side (as far as age is concerned anyway)
They're not exactly slumming it though are they? Speeches at a veterans hall is not an activity carried out by people who have to worry about food riots and martial law.
Jason Bright had a mutation in which he cant turn feral. Marie Ashur was important because she was to be studied to find a cure for heavy radiation induced diseases. I truly believe Jason Bright will be referenced or even in the game. Same with Marie Ashur. Bethesda has already said the child will look like your character's characteristics. Why even bother if he's only in the game 5 minutes. I promise you that kid will be alive and in the game.
And yes ghouls do age according to Typhoon from FO2. He was a child when he became a ghoul.
An assuming that number is exact, and the number that Codsworth spews is exact, that puts the protagonist at 35 years old, so NOT 40. Personally, I imagine that the 200 years codsworth mentions is just an estimation and the actual number is between 205-210, putting the Protagnist at 25-30 years of age.
There is no cure for ghoulism, it mutates your DNA to the point where your skin sloughs off and your hair falls out and your flesh turns necrotic. And where was it ever said that Jason Bright had a mutation where he couldn't be feral? He's the only non-feral glowing one we know of, but we don't know if he can go feral or not.
And that, is an assumption, not proof of anything.
and since no one can provide proof of anything, there really isn't a point in continuing this, is there?
It's a guess based on what little information we have. Considering that there is some evidence to support the age of 25-35, and NONE to support an age of 40+, what does Occam's Razor suggest?
You do realize that every single thing we know is a guess based on evidence, don't you? It's an educated guess, and one that we need more information to prove conclusively; but it's better supported than the guess that the protagonist is 40+.
Yet a guess is still a guess, and without proof, that's all you've got, nothing more, nothing less.
