The steed stone is the best stone in the game

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 7:34 am

This is really the only useful stone IMO. It gives you +100 carrying weight so you are not always having to sell loot or just drop it.

Atronarch is the best stone for anyone who has a hard time against mages and doesn't need his own magicka to regenerate fast.

Also, I might be able to sell those 400 mugs I'm carrying for something to the merchant later.

TES has trained whole generation of people who are like pawnshop stars of the fantasy world.

Agreed. Plus it reduced penalties and weight while wearing heavy armor.

It is cool, but lords stone is great. Especially at low levels. With lord stone, Breton, and agent of Mara spells do 35% damage.

Steed stone is good for heavy armor guys. Negates the weight cost of your armor and the penalty for armor. That aside, I prefer the Lord stone. Damage and Magic resistance is freaking awesome.

+1

Or a robe wearing mage, if you compensate. Best is opinion and taste. Steed isn't to mine, location is a spoiler. Just saying.

Any stone that provides more than a "once a day" bonus is good enough for me, but I'm using the Lord stone right now.

I just use the heavy armor perk, 400 carrying weight is more than enough. I'm also working on leveling my odd abilities that I normally don't use. So having the other stones help.

The tower stone is useful if you can't be bothered to picklock something when it is useful.

The lady stone is cool, but a bit overpowered.

Not for me, I'm partial to the Lord/Serpent stone on my Assassin myself.

Even if you don't invest in stamina, 300 capacity is more than enough? You need to do a quick value:weight calculation in your head, to see if the item is worth taking. I usually go for anything with a ~10:1 ratio, at higher levels I will probably go with ~30:1, as money is easy to come by.

The lord stone is the one I used, magic resist and armor rating is more useful IMO.

They do if they sell for over 1000 septims a set.

With 100 speech you sell items at half their value, unless you have speech perks (which I don't recommend). So what armor is this you are finding that is worth 2000? Ebony armor is so rare to come across even at my level (60+).

Its a waste of space carrying stuff like that about, considering you can make potions worth stupidly high amounts. Giants toe and wheat is the best combo I have found, throw in another ingredient that compliments one of them, and the potion is worth 4000.

i love my lord stone too much with my shield and sword argonian :)

with the shield i have 75% magical resistence and the 50 extra armor is also nice to have. all my problems i used to have with mages are gone.

I probably would go for Atronach, for those melee warriors who cannot stand mages. I carefully am using the Atronach stone with my pure mage. Let me tell you, the regeneration rate is gimped anyways, you might as well keep gimping yourself, gain 50+ Magicka + 50% Magicka Absorption which can be vital if you are out of OOM and your health is low.

Probably not very useful for low levels, but I've recently switched to the Ritual Stone. It's not that I will ever NEED to have a room full of zombies fighting for me, but it's nice to know that the option is there. Plus, it's just fun.
