The story of Skyrim

Post » Mon Oct 25, 2010 2:15 am

I was wondering who is the man/woman responsible for the story we'll play in Skyrim, is he/she well known to the community? Is he/she the same one who wrote Oblivion? I would like to read other works of this writer like I did with the Polish author who wrote the book behind the game Witcher.

I would also use this thread to ask you if you would like Bethesda to publish a Tes novel based on each game in the series.

You should head over to the http://www.imperial-library.info/ and check out the abundant in-game books, as well as texts written by various authors and developers behind the series. It is a great place and probably right up your alley.

I thought there were more authors, not just one. Emil Pagliarulo was one of them, I think he has some awards for writing on Fallout 3 too. Don't know of his work outside of gaming though, might check his name on the google.

Hopefully Michael Kirkbride worked on it.

For Oblivion:

Quest Design was done by Brian Chapin, Kurt Kuhlmann, Alan Nanes, Mark E. Nelson, Bruce Nesmith and Emil Pagliarulo.

Additional Design was done by Erik J. Caponi and Jon Paul Duvall.

Additional Writing was done by Ted Peterson and Michael Kirkbride.

Now it beats me what's the difference between "designer" and "writer" when it comes to games

OMG the writers from FO3 make a return in Skyrim? We're basically screwd. I thought the story was the weakest part of Oblivion, even worse than the scaling and miles away from Morrowind's, and the Fallout 3 dialogue writing was very very poor. I think they need one good writer.

I hope they have better writers than they did Oblivion.

So many things I disliked. Game was fun but writing needed improvement. Alot of improvement.

Hopefully the writer's have gotten better or they have new writers.

FO3 writers? Oh boy......
