The straw that broke the camel's back.

I love Fallout Shelter. Broken as it may be. I started a vault on the day the game released and spent about $20 just to have my vault wiped out within 3 days. I don't mean mole rats, & I don't mean deathclaws, I mean my game crashed and my file was simply gone. I have been watching this forum for weeks and reading about all the different players that have been having the same issues that I have had. I have been waiting, just as you have, for the powers that be at Bethesda to chime in with a possible solution to our problems. There busy, I get it, but after something that happened this weekend I decided I could be silent no longer. I started an account on the forums just so I could write the following...

Why, I mean seriously why are you going to offer a Labor Day discount and take peoples money for lunch boxes to use in a game that you know is broken? You have the masses screaming from the roof tops about how they're losing money, and you're still okay with taking money from people that have no idea what is going on with your busted game. Offering a discount as incentive to purchase while being aware of these problems is just wrong. I don't even think Walmart is capable of this. End of rant.

I agree. Labor day discount was a bad move. I also have issue but am holding on to it (funny how i have to 'hold on'- objective crash, loading crash would be my issues. Obejective crash happen for certain and loading crash sometimes) I try to understand whats causing the delay. Maybe its the fallout 4 that is about to launch. Or since its a free game with less profit-seen too many articles about how they are cashing in. Short term- they might be less obligated to check for an update. I live in Korea and customer service here is really fast. Never really played games other than this recently but in koraa if there is a unsolved bug that takes away the personal(whether it is a gmae item or not) items i bet there would be an lawsuit. Its unfortunate that they have released this game before the fallout 4 release. In fallout 3 there was ocasional bugs and as far as i know there was an update. The release date is november so... i guess v 1.2 update for shelter might be possible next year.

That's why you don't spend money on cell phone games.

Well, with all those articles about how their "cashing in" it's hard to make the argument that this is a game with less profit. The game itself might be free, but there's apparently a pretty lucrative product attached to it. I think that's what makes the situation so insulting. They will be selling Fallout 4 at $60 a pop, where there are people that have paid so much more to play Fallout Shelter. I've seen posters mention purchases totaling $100 or more. You could make the argument that the audience isn't as wide, but the sheer number of downloads for this game pretty much cuts the legs off of that argument as well. You shine that kind of light on this and it really makes you question Bethesda's business model.

im on android since the game came out on it and I had NEVER had a bug or crash. im using a 2 year s4

im doing most of the objective that seem right and i have 200 residents plus 800 000 caps.

oh and 43 explorer at the moment and 4 lengedary resident waiting at the door.

never ever bought a single thing in the game.

my game is 100% legit no hack no savegame relauch no cheat.

the only issue i could mention here is when i play with full screen light intensity because it sunny outside. at some point the game get slower . but that an hardware issue of overheating. i just stop playing for 15 to 30 min and it cool again. we are not in 3000 ac here smatphone heat up that normal no big deal

Gladly, i also never encountered any game breaking bug.

But I really feel for all those who had their game file erased by something they can't do anything about.

I also never spend too much on phone games (i spent a total of 3,20€ to get a few mister handies), but hey, some games are really awesome and If I were to spend money on them, I'd feel like I'm rewarding the people who made it.

This, however, isn't the case. The way customers are being taken care of is shameful.
