I got my fake passport through the King's missions, and was ready to go into the strip. However, at the gate there are only 4 robots. 2 on top and 2 next to the gate. There isn't one I can show my passport to like I've seen in videos of the strip, and when I try and walk towards the gate the robots warn me I am in a "restricted area", and then begin shooting me.

Is this a glitch? Is there anything I can do? I really don't want to have to blast my way into the strip.

try looking around freeside or wait for a few hours in front of the gate... perhaps the bot went chasing after a fleeing freeside thug.

Simple work around:

Go to Nipton and search the hotel left of Nipton Town Hall and take NCR trooper armor.
Put armor on.
Go to McCarran Airport.
Use NCR monorail while wearing said armor.
Enjoy the luxury that is The Strip forever.

u gotta have that one dude show up and tell u to talk to the securitrons before u head into the strip. i was running one mod that pretty much kinda erased all the the scripts if u didnt talk to people before hand and had to take down the securitrons. Funny as hell, having to kill all the securitrons while i was heading up to talk to Mr House in his casino......good times good times
