The summoners, or if you prefer the conjuration thread

Post » Sun Oct 02, 2011 1:38 pm

Any thing, and every thing related to summoning. Pics, creatures. Creatures you would like to see be summonable in future games etc. What we know, what you would like to hear in the upcoming news.

You can't call anyone but the ghost busters. It's just how the song goes. I don't make the rules.

Thanks I have been wanting to get my most favorite school magic more honored, so I think this should be a good way to spread the love for summoning.

Conjuration
- Novice for 50% magicka etc (up to Master)
- Dual casting overcharges –> greater spell effect
- Bound weapons do more damage
- Bound weapons cast Soul Trap on target
- Bound weapons banish certain creatures
- Reanimate undead with 100 more health
- Summon 2 Atronachs or reanimated zombies
- Summon Atronachs at twice the distance
- Summoned Atronachs twice as strong

Seems like a very Atronach focused skill tree. I'm pretty sure Sammu said that it wasn't a complete list.

Who you gonna call? TODD HOWARD! Lmao. If only I could summon Todd Howard in game... a character with 999 health that kills everything.

Spider Daedra and Xivilai.
I'd like a return of the Winged Twilights.
Possibly even the new Daedra mentioned in Lord of Souls.

He would be second on the list :D

In all seriousness I will be summoning, calling, conjuring, whistling and dating all kinds of godless creatures.

Skyrim will be good for summoning stuff too...

I've always liked summoning Daedra. Well... The good ones lol. I don't bother with Scamps, and I dont like Clanfear. Though at low levels I'll be summoning things like zombies I'm sure.

Both conjuring and summoning means to bring in matter from somewhere else or another plane. Conjurers specifically denote someone who brings in nonliving matter from somewhere else or another plane whereas summoners specifically denote someone who brings in living matter - creatures, beings, people - from other places or other planes. The two names are related but they are respective to the specialist.

I want the soultrap trick to return, but it is unlikely... they fixed it in the transition from Morrowind to Oblivion. It is a fun glitch, because it effectively turns any summon into the permanent version, but still under your control. It was game breaking, but still fun.

I am liking the reanimate feature they are putting in as a proper spell now. I will be nice to have about half a dozen dead guards making other people pay there fine, or serve there sentence >:/

I hope they're undead warriors you can summon.
Like say you knocked a dragon out of the air with magic or lighting storm whatever, And then you summon zombies with swords and the like to attack him while hes down!

SO COOL!!

Unfortunately we will have to live with a little simplification of things as necromancy that has to do with soul binding will also be in the conjuration school as well.
