Is the system requirements high?

Oh I don't know... they describe the new engine as "next-generation graphics, cutting edge" and that doesn't scream "Your computer will cry" to you?

Be ready to drop some money if you want that game to sing and dance for you.

Skyrim:
11-11-11
With DirectX 11

If only. The way I see it is, either it will be very low only using dx9 (thanks consoles <.<) or it will have PC specific settings and use dx11. If they made this new engine in house and want it to look next gen it would be stupid not to future proof it. In other words why make a new engine and not make it dx11 compatible when thats the way of the future?

I don't anticipate needing anything more than a video card personally ... The one nice thing about the current generation consoles having such a long service life is that the PC I built over a year ago is still far and away above the requirements needed to play any game coming out now or in the foreseeable future ... well with the exception of the video card, which is only showing it's age now that Direct X 11 games are starting to come around

That is indeed a major boon for PC users. Only reason I upgrade though is because I love the smell of new hardware. I'm thinking a GTX460 for X-Mas will be just merry. =)

I base my computer buying on Elder Scrolls game requirements.
