As in a LOT of your games, I've been "compiling" many, MANY occurrences regarding the #27 (or multiples of, or variations of...) as well as other numbers and symbols and patterns repeating throughout some Bethesda games. And Square/Enix, Valve Software, Activision, EA Games, Ubisoft and even 2K Games (just to name a FEW). I already asked Square about this (although I was a bit abrasive at first) but received no answer.
So, I'm trying again, but asking with a bit more courtesy. What is the deal with the #27 and the other patterns? If anything... I'd just like to ask about the #27 alone (if only to get me started in the right direction...).
In Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, the Emperor announces the game's starting date as "27th Seed"...
In Fallout: New Vegas, the opening cut-scene shows the year 2025 ( which equals 27 x 75)...
In Doom 3, the "Flight Schedule" in the "Departure Lounge" shows that you've arrived on Decemeber 27, 2145...
(i'll be investigating Skyrim, RAGE and Wolfenstein: New Order when I finally can...)
I even started a Steam Group called "Why #27?" about this (mostly so I can share my dilemma). But, seriously... I'm more open-minded after researching this as of late... but I'd really like to have a direct answer from ANYBODY from the games' development teams. Of course, anyone with some answers might just be enough.
Thanks,
Gregory "Yellowowl" Allen
