The TES Texture Guide

Following a discussion in http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1381981-new-rig-new-decisions-texture-packs/, I decided that we needed a new site like TOTO, but one that covered ALL the texture replacers. So, I started digging through my archives of stuff, collated texture replacers and got everything organized and online. I'm now proud to announce that the TES Texture Guide is now online. It's not very developed so far - all I've got, really, is a bunch of mods divided up by categories with some descriptions; I've also added information on utilities like PyFFI, Optimizer Textures, and DDSOpt.

Why TES Texture Guide? Simple: I intend this to be a guide for all the TES games, not just Oblivion. I'm sure there might not be much demand for Morrowind stuff, since most of the folks playing it are well entrenched, but there are dozens of obscure (and really good) replacers for Oblivion; also, Skyrim is new and replacers are constantly being developed for it. TOTO had some really good information on it, and I've added links to discussions dev/akm made about things like QTP and other landscape replacers.

I've made the site open to all; you just have to register at Wikidot, just like working on the UESP Wiki, and the formatting is similar. I encourage people to post screenshots - I use a lot of replacers, but I don't have nearly all the stuff on this site, and I don't have the time or wherewithal to get screenies for everything. I put up a few screenshots http://testg.wikidot.com/oblivion:arch-misc to show off some things in my game.

Once I get back to Skyrim and start playing it again, I figure the rate of texture mods will have slowed down slightly, so I can start collating and adding those as well.

The site is still under development, so comments and (constructive) criticism are welcome.

Woah this is awesome. Looks great so far!

-I like the way you have textures sorted into categories, but there are a couple that are too general. LOD in particular could be spit into normal maps, view when distant mods, noise replacers and umm, there's something else I'm forgetting as well.

-Adding an extra column for screenshots would make browsing much easier, instead of having to scroll down and match pictures to text.

I'll have to see about submitting screenshots. Would you also like recommendations for replacers?
