The best one I can think of at the moment is Cash Machine by Hard-Fi.

That's interesting because I never thought about specific songs this way and the songs I found recognizable changed along with the musical changes of the musicians and more often what state of mind or mindset I was in. I guess everyone's views undergo minor or major changes as years progress.

Most recently I'd say Windir's Kampen covered my life philosophy of the last 4-5ish years. It expresses all I'm worried or angry about.
Back in the late 90's, it was definitely Enslaved's Lifandi liv undir hamri (and Hordalendingen at some point) till they came up with Krigaren eg ikkje kjende because I was an angry young man whose life's ideals were represented in that song. I started using it as a user name around that time and just kept using it rather for practical reasons than for real emotional value, so Kampen is a lot more accurate nowadays...
