The things Alduin priests might say...

Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 1:55 am

The World Eater, King Ysgramor, threatens the devil gods' illusion. Yes, Ysgramor eats the world. He feats on our illusory frames: the flesh-raiment of our mother's distress. As Mundus is to man Man his eyelid, so Ysgramor arrives with his Host - our inheritance in his blood - to burn this World with New Sight! They, the "gods" of compromise, the Hunger pains to eat. May our King consume the lie with the liars!

ALDUIN FeyN DO JUN
KRUZiiK VOKUN STaaDNAU
VOTH aaN BahLOK Wah DiiVON FIN LeiN

I was moved to speech by http://www.imperial-library.info/content/oblivion-mythic-dawn-commentaries-3 and http://www.imperial-library.info/content/morrowind-thirty-six-lessons-vivec-sermon-thirty-two more than even Ysgramor the Returned, but do I take for granted Alduin is Ysgramor? Not only is he the King of A(l)tmora, he is the world's fist historian and chronicler. He even records when Adamantine was completed. Coincide Ysgramor and his Host with the end of the previous Kalpa, and you get a big, fat coincidence with a simple explanation: they're the same King. What's your take?

Ysgramor is yet another Shezarrine person or name, just like Ysmir or Harald. Even his title ("the Returned") tells about it too.

Those ancient dragon-worshiping Nords might have asserted that, but I'm with Dr. Phoenix-Neko in reaffirming Ysgramor's tightness with Shor.

No, as Lorkhan-Shezarr-Shor (pseudo-"dead" god) returns. (as Shezarrines)

The player is Shor. Maybe it's time to unlearn what we've learned. How many times does the twist at the end need to surprise us? The point was how a priest of Alduin would spin the invasion. The priest would call it release from the elvish lie, a cause King Ysgramor and Host were close to. Having lost Sarthaal

"What a grand, grand f**k up you are, Herkel Shield-Fed! See now, you have done what whole endless legions of elves could not, and by that I mean to destroy utterly the Host of Hoary King Ysgrim!"

If the Host were the dragons, think of the implications. For one, Esbern has deceived us. Dagon has appeared to heroes as a wise man, to lead them on his path. We've had two-faced guidance from the Princes before. Esbern could be his agent. With his God dead, Man would lose their divine spark and fade from Aurbis. The elves want Alduin stopped.

Alduin is Auriel in a much more literal sense than Akatosh is. Shor son of Shor has Alduin blaming Shor for recreating Mundus, whilst Shor blames Alduin for eating Mundus (thus causing him to recreate it). Recent Thalmor activity and information has me believing that they want Alduin to win.

And I'll be disappointed if Dovahkiin ends up being a Shezarrine.

Shor son of Shor also gives Shor reptilian (draconic?) features.

The two are congruent, as you say, but they are not the same.

"You stupid little f*cker, do you even know what would HAPPEN if that happened, my dying and being unable to eat and the kalpa left to run forever? Why do I even ask, you who are a little low spirit whose only real power is jumping around? It is the Greedy Man I should really be mad at!"

SITHISIT is the start of all true Houses, built against stasis and lazy slaves. Turn from your predilections, broken like false maps. Move and move like this. Quicken against false fathers, mothers left in corners weeping for glass and rain. Stasis asks merely for nothing, for itself, which is nothing, as you were in the eight everlasting imperfections.

No, I say a Mundus left to stasis is exactly what Thalmor wants. I say they want Alduin to fail, and by Alduin failing, I mean they want Ysgramor and his 500 Companions dead.

Recent Thalmor activity and information has me believing that they want Alduin to win.

They don't want a return of Ysgramor and his 500 Companions.

And I'll be disappointed if Dovahkiin ends up being a Shezarrine.

I never said he had to be incarnate, but he has divine blood, so he's either the incarnate or he's a mantler.

Shor son of Shor also gives Shor reptilian (draconic?) features.

Oh well, Dragonborn doesn't look like Shor, right now. Everybody go home.

Yeah, cause it's not like he's dragonborn or anything.

That's not my point. My point was that Time isn't the only "Dragon god" in the Nordic pantheon... but, I don't really know where I was going with that.

I would like to mantle Shor, however.

A tangent, but what's the proper adjective for "of Alduin" anyways? Aldunuic (al-duh-nyu'ik) sounds awesome in my mind, but it sort of corrupts the root word.

I see. Later, many Nords could not look on him without seeing a dragon.

Alduinic (Padomaic etc.)? Alduinial? Alduinical (Cynical :hubbahubba: )?
And it could be so that Alduin is already the adjective for "of Ald".

There are another four walking ways. And MK said that dragonborn-ness have nothing common with hereditary "blood of a dragon".

Yes. I'm just hoping we don't end up as a Shezarrine, but mantling would be nice.

There are, but I don't know them well. Maybe he's followed a different path, I don't know. Lorkhan loves to wander.

And MK said that dragonborn-ness have nothing common with hereditary "blood of a dragon".

It's not heredity with gods or dragons I'm talking about, I mean he's a figure of destiny.
