I couldn't wait another six months, I'll just apply changes to the game as needed.

How can you know what you want for mods in the game if you haven't played it vanilla at least once? Or are you just jumping on the hate bandwagon?

I know for certain that I want finisher moves out of the game. I know for certain I want to be able to ride horses in first-person. etc.

If there are gamebreaking bugs (highly unlikely) I'll definitely hold off on picking it up. But yeah, with Oblivion I picked it up on the 360 first and waited about a year to purchase it for PC. Was pleasantly surprised to see so many well-crafted mods had already been made. With Skyrim I'll just occupy myself with the myriad of things to do in-game. By the time I've gotten tired of it plenty of high quality mods will already be out.

I would love to get all the awesome mods that will be made for Skyrim. But there is no way in hell I am waiting another six months to play this game. I don't understand how you are gonna do it man.

Nah, I'll play it when it comes out, then after finishing my first play through go play other games I'll be missing for a while then come back and start a new run with all the worthy mods.

That would indeed be the smart thing to do. Even smarter would be to wait for the inevitable Game of the Year edition that contains all the DLCs too. But i'm only human, i don't have such patience :hehe:

Im going to appreciate the game for what it is and not what random other people make of it. I want The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, not The Modded Scrolls V: Heavily modified Skyrim.

yay, let's blindly change every feature of the game without ever trying the normal game out!

The game is obviously broken by default and mods will only fix things!

you know, you cant really appreciate the true value of mods until you play through the vanilla game first and perhaps know what the hell you're actually improving upon; its not as though skyrim wont be great on its own, just even greater with mods. if you dont play through it normally first, then itll just be great and youll never know the feeling of something greater...do you really want that? :ermm:

No, no on. Those mods will make it how I want it. The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim: ToJKa's edition. The perfect edition. For me :)

I've already spent over 1200 hours with The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion: ToJKa's edition. It's that good :hehe: Too good in fact, i have way too much games waiting to be finished because my modded Oblivon and Fallouts are too perfect for me to stop playing them :(

There are things I want modded before i play the game, though admittedly they are more of the style of adding things that were lost this edition and not the style of fixes you are talking about. Hopefully it wont take 6 months for that to happen. But hey if something really cool happens in the next month I may break down and get the game at launch.
